Tucked away at the bottom of a lush subtropical woodland garden, the Summerhouse overlooks a rugged cove offering a true sense of escape. Surrounded by stunning natural beauty and just moments from the South West Coast Path, its unique and restful setting provides total privacy with sweeping views over the bay. Walkers, lovers of wildlife, artists and anyone who are seeking a truly magical break have long cherished this breathtaking retreat away from the ‘madding crowds’.
The Summerhouse is effortlessly stylish, incredibly comfortable and draws inspiration from a Scandinavian beach house design. Nestled in a one-of-a-kind, beautiful location, it offers the perfect romantic escape, whether you’re planning a long-deserved holiday, a special getaway, or a celebration.
Floor-to-ceiling bi-fold doors open from the wooden deck into a spacious, open-plan living area designed for complete comfort while overlooking the secluded cove. A large Loaf sofa invites you to relax, while the king-sized bed, complete with a Casper mattress and electric blanket, offers a cosy place to unwind, all with views across the bay. Cornish artwork decorates the walls, and books, games, Alexa, and superfast internet are all provided for your entertainment.
Mornings begin with the gentle calls of seabirds drifting in on the coastal breeze, while local fishermen go about their daily catch in the nearby cove. As you sit down to breakfast on the terrace, you might spot diving boats gliding across the water, exploring the hidden remains beneath the surface.
Step outside to your own private part of the garden filled with Mediterranean plants and relaxed outdoor living. There’s comfortable seating, a fire pit for cooler evenings and an Egg BBQ for laid-back dining. For a bit of fun, boules and oversized Jenga are provided and a convenient outdoor tap makes it easy to rinse off sandy gear or muddy boots after a day of exploring.
This is the perfect escape for couples looking to get away from it all and soak in spectacular panoramic views in complete peace and seclusion. It offers a chance to relax, unwind and reconnect with nature in the hidden beauty of West Penwith.
Set in the unspoilt far west of Cornwall, St Loy is perfectly placed for exploring some of the county’s most beautiful and lesser-known spots. Right on your doorstep is St Loy’s Cove, a secluded beach of geological interest framed by dramatic cliffs and access to the South West Coast Path, where walks in either direction reveal breathtaking coastal scenery, hidden coves and opportunities to spot seals and seabirds. St Loy is situated between beautiful Penberth Cove, made famous by the Poldark series and Lamorna known for its artistic heritage and picturesque valley. For those drawn to history, the nearby Merry Maidens Stone Circle and other prehistoric sites provide a fascinating insight into the area’s ancient past.
Heading eastwards is Mousehole, said to be the prettiest village in Cornwall with its top rate restaurants and sandy harbour and a short distance from here is the busy fishing port of Newlyn where you will find lively eateries and pubs.
Our main town of Penzance is a short drive away where the famous promenade, looking out to St Michael’s Mount, stretches around the Bay to the iconic open air Lido. Many gardens and shops are around here.
