Cransworth Springs offers a peaceful and tranquil haven for a self-catering holiday in Cornwall, set within six acres of open fields with beautiful views across the Rosenannon Downs and surrounding valley. Its location is convenient yet secluded, just a ten-minute drive from the A30 Victoria junction, giving easy access to destinations across Cornwall. The golden beaches of the north coast are around twenty-five minutes away, and the popular fishing village of Padstow, with its shops and excellent places to eat, is within easy reach.
Two properties are available to rent, both looking out over the farmland of the Rosenannon valley and offering outdoor barbecue and dining areas where guests can relax and enjoy the surroundings. Ivy Cottage is a luxurious hideaway for a couple, while Bramble Lodge offers a fun and unique countryside experience for a small family or two couples. Booking them together makes it easy for larger families to share a peaceful rural getaway. An outdoor swimming pool, open from May to September, along with a children’s climbing frame and swings, adds to the appeal for guests of all ages.
The lodge enjoys expansive valley views from its veranda and offers comfortable, flexible accommodation with a double bedroom featuring a king-size bed and en-suite shower room, plus a second bedroom that can be arranged as either a twin or a super-king. A separate family shower room and an open-plan lounge, kitchen and dining area provide plenty of space to relax. Fully insulated and warmed by gas central heating, the lodge is cosy in winter, while the veranda, complete with a charcoal barbecue, table, chairs and sun loungers, is perfect for summer evenings. It is equipped with a washing machine, airer, washing line, dishwasher, microwave, toaster, Lavazza Jolie coffee machine, induction hob, electric oven, fridge and freezer, along with a hairdryer in each bedroom, iron and ironing board and all towels and bed linen, including pool towels. Entertainment includes a 50" smart TV with Freesat and a Bluetooth soundbar and parking for two cars is available beside the lodge. WiFi is provided throughout.
Our recently renovated one bedroom Ivy Cottage offers a fresh and inviting space, complete with a new fitted kitchen, bathroom, gas central heating and hot water system, updated flooring and carpets, and elegant oak bedroom furniture, including a super-king-size bed. The cottage also features a comfortable leather corner sofa and is fully equipped with modern conveniences such as a washing machine, dishwasher, induction hob, electric oven, microwave, toaster, Lavazza Jolie coffee machine, fridge and additional freezer space in the adjoining utility room. Guests will find a hairdryer, airer, iron and ironing board, along with all towels and bed linen, including pool towels. Entertainment is provided through a 43" smart TV with Freesat in the bedroom, a 50" smart TV with Freesat in the lounge and a Bluetooth soundbar. Outside, there is a charcoal barbecue, patio and decking with seating, two sun loungers and convenient parking beside the cottage, all complemented by WiFi throughout.
British weather can be unpredictable and for those times when a barbecue sounds perfect but the conditions don’t cooperate, a cosy barbecue hut is available. It provides a warm, dry space for up to six people to enjoy cooking and eating together whatever the weather.
Popular destinations such as Newquay, Port Isaac, Tintagel, Rock, Polzeath, Daymer Bay and the Eden Project are all within easy driving distance. Wadebridge, just ten minutes away, is the nearest town and offers supermarkets, a variety of shops, pubs, restaurants and a cinema. It is also the starting point for the scenic Camel Trail, a walking and cycling route that follows the River Camel to Padstow or Bodmin.
