Bea’s Cottage sits in the heart of Cresswell village in a prime position, just a stone’s throw from the sea. Originally a fisherman’s cottage, it has been beautifully restored by the owners and now oozes character and charm, with many original features carefully brought back to life. With stunning sea views and immediate access to the golden beach, the cottage is an absolute delight in all seasons, made even cosier by the welcoming wood burner.
The large and spacious living room offers lovely views from the front window across the field to Pele Tower, a medieval tower. This room includes a Freeview Smart TV and a wood burner, with a dining area that flows directly into the kitchen. The kitchen features a large table perfect for enjoying home-cooked breakfasts or lunches, along with an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge-freezer, dishwasher and French doors that lead out onto the patio.
Upstairs, there are three bedrooms: a kingsize room, a twin room and a single room. The family bathroom includes a freestanding deep bath as well as a separate shower. Outside, the French doors from the kitchen open into a small patio area. The cottage includes oil central heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi, with initial fuel for the wood burner provided. There is private parking for one car and the property is strictly no smoking. Guests should be aware that the bottom of the garden has a very low wall with drops to the sea and care is advised.
Situated close to Druridge Bay, Bea’s Cottage on Cresswell Beach is one of the Northumberland coast’s hidden gems, perfect for dog walkers and families seeking a peaceful day by the sea. Cresswell Beach is ideal for walking, cycling and birdwatching, with breathtaking views from the clifftop paths and nearby bird hides. Other places to visit include:
