The View at Pen-y-Ghent offers superb self catering accommodation in the charming village of Horton-in-Ribblesdale. We are nestled within Yorkshire Dales National Park and close to the source of the River Ribble, making us perfect for outdoor lovers looking for somewhere special to stay.

Accommodation

Our delightful mid-terrace cottage has been newly refurbished to offer quality accommodation. The cottage sleeps up to 4 people and boasts glorious views of Pen-Y-Ghent.

A cosy living room is great for unwinding in after a day in the countryside. Facilities include a comfy sofa, chair, an open fire in feature sound, smart TV, oak coffee and side tables and a selection of books and games. Cook up a feast in the well-equipped kitchen/dining area which has an electric oven/grill/hob, fridge, freezer, microwave, dishwasher and washing machine.

Two attractive bedrooms are available: a double and a twin. The double room enjoys spectacular views of Pen-Y-Ghent. Both rooms come with bed linen. A bathroom has a shower over the bath and a WC.

Outside there is a front garden with a bench that offers glorious views over Pen-Y-Ghent, the ideal spot for a morning coffee. The rear enclosed garden/courtyard has garden furniture with seat cushions for al fresco dining when the sun is shining.

Visiting Horton-in-Ribblesdale & Exploring Yorkshire

This part of the country is a paradise for walkers, with many completing the Yorkshire 3 Peaks, Pen-y-Ghent, Ingleborough and Whernside. The area is also great for cavers and potholers, with the area brimming with wonderful limestone. The village has two traditional pubs, The Crown and the Golden Lion. Only a short drive away are the quaint market towns of Settle and Ingletion, with both offering interesting shops, fabulous tea rooms and Dales Pubs. Further attractions to visit include:

Pennine Way.
Great Douk Cave.
Ingleborough National Nature Reserve.
Simon Fell.
Alum Pot Beck.
