Summary

The Chalet at Cairnacre is located just outside of Hebden Bridge in Midgehole, West Yorkshire. Our holiday cottage sleeps 2 and has separate bedroom, lounge/diner, kitchen and shower room with electric heating throughout. There are facilities to dry clothing and walking boots. The storm porch provides space for bikes, outdoor gear and boots.

The Accommodation

The lounge/diner has comfortable seating with garden views. There is TV (5 channels plus free view), video and DVD player and radio. Books, tourist information, maps, and videos are available.

The bedroom has twin divan beds or one super king-size bed. All linen, towels, and bedding are provided.

Kitchen is well equipped with modern kitchen units, fan oven, fridge/freezer, microwave, toaster, kettle and all crockery etc.

Shower room and toilet has a large enclosed shower and towel rail.

Garden has a lawn and patio with seats bordering woodland.

There are shared and private seating areas and barbecue.

Phone: Access to a phone for emergencies and public phone within 200 yards.

In dry weather you have space for a barbecue or sitting in the garden.

It is 2 miles from Hebden Bridge in a woodland garden, close to riverside and hill walks and easily accessible by car or taxi.

Parking is off road and within 30 yards; the access path has steps, a good handrail and lighting.

Midgehole Working Man’s Club welcomes visitors, and Hardcastle Crags is within yards.

Visiting Midgehole & Exploring West Yorkshire

Hebden Bridge was described as 4th quirkiest town in the world and the town with the most independent shops on the High Street! It is a popular walking and cycling area, with National Trust woodland nearby. The town has theatre, cinema, jazz and arts festival; park, canal, Alternative Technology Centre; shops selling antiques, books, for charity, china, craft, jewellery, and shoes. There are food shops and delicatessens, cafes, pubs, and restaurants catering for most tastes.

The Pennine Way and Calderdale Way are within 2 miles and Haworth and Bronte country within 8 miles. Tourist Information is found at Hebden Bridge, Todmorden and Halifax.

Transport: We only have buses to and from Hebden Bridge on summer weekends. Hebden Bridge is easily accessible by car, bus, train or coach.

Weekly tariff is fully inclusive of linen and electricity at £190 - £230 (discount for singles). We request £25 deposit to confirm bookings, and payment in full on arrival. Open throughout the year, mid-week breaks, long weekends and late bookings may be available.
We have a Quality in Tourism rating of 2 stars and offer facilities for tourists, cyclists and walkers.
Regrettably wheelchair users would find this accommodation unsuitable.
