Cambusmore Estate offers self catering accommodation situated in Dornoch, Sutherland. The Estate covers a wide range of habitat from the beach through agricultural land to hill. It includes two rivers, six hill lochs and a fantastic range of wildlife. Whether you want to fish, ride, cycle, walk or just relax, our 12,500 acres have something for everyone.

About Cambusmore Estate

We currently offer three properties as self catering accommodation for vacation rental:

Balvraid Steading sleeps 10 or more in five twin/double bedrooms, four of them en suite. The accommodation sleeps up to 18 adults and comprises 5 twin/double bedrooms, four of which have en suite facilities. They are arranged in groups of 3 and 2, each with its own spiral stone staircase. 4 further en suite bedrooms are available in separate annexes across the enclosed courtyard. The price includes oil-fired underfloor central heating, logs for the stoves, electricity, towels and linen.

Grieve’s Cottage sleeps 4 adults and comprises 2 twin/double bedrooms, each with en suite shower room. The price includes oil fired central heating, logs for the open fire, electricity, towels and linen.

Visiting Dornoch & Exploring Sutherland

We are some 50 miles north of Inverness with its international airport, 150 miles from Aberdeen and about 200 miles from the Continental ferry terminal at Rosyth.

Dornoch (7 kilometres) has an airstrip suitable for light aircraft and helicopters.

The scenic North Highland Railway runs from Inverness to Thurso. The nearest rail station to Cambusmore is Golspie (6 kilometres).
