Accommodation

Our stunning holiday home was completed in 2009 and has been designed for luxurious comfort throughout. Tastefully furnished with quality pieces and flair, Woodside Barn is a place you will never want to leave.

The accommodation has 3 double bedrooms, with two bedrooms upstairs which can be reached by their own staircases. Down stairs is double bedroom with exposed beams. The en suite wet room can be provided with a shower chair for the less mobile, thus ensuring this accommodation is flexible for those with particular needs. The bedroom furniture includes a dressing table, chest of drawers, a long mirror, and, as with all the bedrooms, touch table lamps on the bedside tables.

Upstairs is George’s Bedroom, a lovely bedroom which offers gorgeous country views from the window and is open up to the roof, with exposed beams. Spotlights and touch tablelamps enhance its cosiness. The baby cot can be located in this room - a travel cot which has two solid end panels and two mesh sides so you can see your child at all times. One end also has a convenient pocket for keeping toys' or baby essential items close at hand and a foam mattress for extra comfort.

Also upstairs is the Church Bedroom, named for the view from the window to Friston Church. This cosy bedroom features some super beams and has a high ceiling open to the roof. In addition to the bedroom furniture there is a cupboard with hanging space and hangers.

The main Living Area is beautifully designed, offering the best of modern comfort in a light and airy space. It also fully open to the roof, making it perfect for peace and relaxation. There is a dining area which seats up to six and a high chair at the table, making it great for eating and socialising with friends or family.

French doors open to an outside paving and grassy area, where you can take in the glorious scenery. In the living area there is a triple-seater settee and other comfortable seating, coffee table, a small selection of games and a flatscreen TV with Freeview and DVD player.

Next to the living area is the Crow Room , a 'quiet' room with exposed beams, furnished to include a double sofa bed. A shower room leads off. The Crow Room can become an additional bedroom with own en suite facilities (if required).

Downstairs is a shower room, complete with an interestingly placed original beam.

Next to the dining area a door takes you into the kitchen. This room is well fitted with cupboards and storage, cooking and kitchen utensils. There is an Indesit electric cooker, Hotpoint fridge/freezer, Hotpoint washer/dryer, dishwasher, microwave, toaster, kitchen block and usual kitchen paraphernalia. The window at the sink looks out over a paved area with a washing line for use if needed (to dry off those beach towels perhaps). Highchair provided if required. Door to outside paved area.

The household necessities such as hoover and ironing board are in understairs cupboard.

The outdoor area is a sight to behold, a beautiful grass area to savour, including use for outside games or garden furniture to relax on to enjoy the newly planted trees and spectacular scenery

Local Area

Our stunning holiday accommodation is fortunate to be located in the Suffolk countryside, allowing to enjoy the unspoiled coastline of the Suffolk Coast and Heaths Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

Charming country walks start at your doorstep as a public footpath crosses the old farmyard while many others abound in the local area and throughout east Suffolk. A gentle stroll along the farm access will lead to Friston's church, village hall and village green.

Wildlife lovers can have endless fun at the RSPB Nature Reserve at Minsmere. You may see the shy deer of which there are several species or the European Konik ponies which graze the marshland here as they have proved very successful in this environment. More Koniks are usually easily seen at Hen Reed Beds, a Suffolk Wildlife Trust reserve near Southwold, and Dartmoor ponies are now well established in Dunwich Forest.
