Bucks Farm Holiday Cottages are five self catering holiday homes that have been tastefully decorated and furnished throughout to offer 4 star holiday homes at Cookley near Halesworth in Suffolk. Each cottage is centrally heated and has a wood burning stove to create a really cosy atmosphere at any time of the year. Bucks Farm has the added benefit of on-site facilities for all ages. The indoor swimming pool and fitness suite provides plenty to do as well as 60 acres of grassland for walking or running. The children of course will enjoy the pool and the games room is an extra treat especially if the weather is in need of cheering up.
This beautifully converted five-star hay barn offers a peaceful retreat for up to four guests, set privately away from the other cottages. With its own enclosed garden and a private hot tub, it’s the perfect spot to unwind in complete seclusion. Characterful original features blend effortlessly with stylish modern furnishings, creating a warm, comfortable space designed for relaxation. Spacious and fully detached, Blyth’s View is our largest cottage and comfortably accommodates up to seven guests across two floors, perfect for big family get togethers or group stays. The layout includes two double bedrooms, one conveniently located on the ground floor with its own shower room and WC, and another upstairs featuring an en-suite bathroom. An additional triple bedroom upstairs provides flexible sleeping arrangements. Designed with socialising in mind, the cottage boasts a generous kitchen and dining area separate from the cosy living room, giving everyone plenty of room to spread out. A light filled conservatory adds extra space to relax and opens directly onto the courtyard terrace, ideal for enjoying time outdoors together.
Swallow’s Rest is a light and spacious ground-floor cottage designed for comfort and convenience, accommodating up to four guests. With its own private hot tub and fully enclosed garden, it’s a great choice for families with children or those bringing dogs. The layout includes a double bedroom with en-suite shower and WC, a separate twin bedroom and an additional family bathroom. Hogs Corner is a charming single-storey barn conversion that sleeps up to four guests, making it a great choice for couples or families with young children. It offers the flexibility to connect with Harvest Keep via a lockable internal door, allowing larger groups of up to nine to stay together while still enjoying separate spaces. Inside, the cottage features a double bedroom and a bunk bedroom, a spacious family shower room with easy access, and a comfortable open-plan living area complete with a neatly designed corner kitchen, creating a welcoming space to relax and spend time together.
Activities available locally include golf, riding and fishing, all within two miles of Bucks Farm and there are some lovely local walks. For those who like cycling, bikes can be hired locally. There are lots of places of interest within easy driving distance, including Southwold and Aldeburgh, the famous Snape Maltings concert hall, the steam museum and gardens of Bressingham and the medieval castles of Framlingham and Orford. Also within reach are the bright lights of Great Yarmouth, the thrills of the Pleasurewood Hills theme park and the shops and many other attractions of historic Norwich.
