Acorn Lodge is set in 7 acres of grounds with excellent views across Herefordshire, Worcestershire, Shropshire and Wales plus the surrounding countryside of the Shropshire Hills which is an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Our lovely holiday cottage is situated just by Hope Bagot and is just a short drive from the market town of Ludlow.
Acorn LodgeThe main living area is open plan with lounge, kitchen/diner. The lounge has a television with built in Freeview and DVD, radio cassette player, sofa and two rise & recline arm chairs. Kitchen/diner is well equipped with fridge/freezer, built in oven and hob, microwave, toaster, dishwasher, washer/dryer, iron, ironing board, dining table and chairs.
Outside the decked area has garden furniture. There are two bedrooms both en suite. One with king size bed, bath and shower. The other twin bedded or super king bed which has a wet room. Hairdryers in both bedrooms.
The doors are wide and all electrical fittings are easily accessible, bathrooms have various hand rails for your convenience. Centrally heated throughout together with log burning stove and double glazing. All Bed linen, towels, cleaning materials, gas, electricity and logs are included in the letting fee.
Ample car parking off our tarmac drive with almost level access onto decking, giving one level around and inside the lodge.
Local AreaThere is an abundance of wildlife in the surrounding area and guided walks available on request. There is a public transport, post office and a variety of shops within three miles and there are many good eating facilities nearby. Hope Bagot is situated approximately 6 miles east of Ludlow and 4 miles north of Tenbury Wells.
DirectionsFrom Shrewsbury - Ludlow A49, turn at sign for Kidderminster, A4117 approximately 4 miles turn right for Knowbury, passing through the hamlet of Farden. At “T” junction turn right and then left at Knowbury crossroads into “Hope Bagot Lane” passing two Inns, “Penny Black” and Bennetts End” on your right, the entrance to Thomas House and Acorn Lodge is approximately 500 yards on the left.
From Hereford - A49, turn right at the sign for Ashford Carbonel, Caynham and Clee Hill. Pass through Caynham, Heading for Knowbury. Do not turn at the signpost Whitton and Hope Bagot,( long way round to Thomas House), take the next right at Knowbury crossroads into Hope Bagot Lane and follow the sign for Hope Bagot, passing two Inns, “Penny Black” and “Bennetts End” on your right, the entrance to Thomas House and Acorn Lodge is approximately 500 yards on the left.
From Kidderminster - take the A456, Bewdley and Leominster road, turn right at sign post for Cleobury Mortimer, A4117, pass through the town of Cleobury Mortimer and over Clee Hill and take the third turning on the left after the second cattle grid, then left at Knowbury crossroads into “Hope Bagot Lane” passing two inns, “Penny Black” and Bennetts End” on your right, the entrance to Thomas House and Acorn Lodge is approximately 500 yards on the left.
From Worcester - take the A443 and then the A456 to Tenbury Wells, take the B4214 to Clee Hill, after 3 1/4 miles turn left at the sign post for Hope Bagot, follow the road for 3/4 mile and turn right for the Church, follow the road passing the church, on your left.Continue up the hill and the entrance to Thomas House and Acorn Lodge is the first drive on the right approximately 3/4 mile.
