Created from our dream of converting a series of old redundant barns, we look forward to welcoming you to our four renovated self - catering holiday homes: Swallow Cottage that will comfortably sleep 5, Groom Cottage which will comfortably sleep 4, The Granary that will comfortably sleep 3 and Stable End a romantic getaway for 2. All cottages have been sympathetically restored to a very high standard and retain their 18th Century Grade II Listed charm of exposed stone walls, oak beams, wall timbers and original trusses giving both properties their own distinct character.

The Granary

Ground Floor:
A large open plan kitchen/living area with exposed beams, a large comfy sofa and a log effect electric fire.
TV/DVD player with Freeview, radio/CD player and a small library of books and games.
Fully fitted Kitchen which includes washing machine, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, microwave, electric oven and hob, making it a true home from home.
Dining area with table and seating for 4.
Cupboards under stairs with Vacuum cleaner, clothes airer, Ironing board and Iron.

First Floor:
Landing with airing cupboard.
A master bedroom with double bed, Freeview TV and hair dryer. Double doors lead to a balcony.
A shower room with glass cubicle and power shower, basin and toilet.
Second bedroom with single bed which would be ideal for 1 adult or 1 child and also room for a cot. Stable door leads to a balcony.

Gardens and Parking:
Full glass double doors and screen leads out to the front courtyard with small pathed area and garden.
Double doors at rear opening onto a patio and own small garden with seating area.
Shared use of one acre of communal garden with wildlife pond, paddock and childrenís play area with swings, sandpit and seating with views of the surrounding hills across the valley.
Gravelled parking area for car at the rear of property.
Information centre contained in a converted station wagon with payphone, books, games and children's toys.
Includes a section for secure bike storage.

Swallow Cottage

Groom Cottage

Groom Cottage is a semi detached barn conversion with a wealth of original features and provides a high standard of self catering accommodation. Set in a rural location 2 miles from the pretty village of Bucknell, with its pretty front patio and barbeque area. This is also an ideal place for outside dining and relaxing.

Ground Floor:
A large open plan living and dining area with exposed beams, to include a three seat sofa, 2 arm chairs and a log effect fire. Large dining table and seating for 4.
TV with Freeview and DVD, CD player and a small library of books and games.
Fully fitted Kitchen with dishwasher, washing machine, fridge/freezer, microwave, electric oven and gas hob, making it a true home from home.
Hallway leading to door which opens onto a small patio area.
Cupboard under stairs with vacuum cleaner, tumble dryer, clothes airer and ironing board.
Stairs leading up to a first floor.

First Floor:
Stairs leading to two landings, The left leads to the master bedroom with double bed, television with Freeview and DVD. En suite facilities with shower, WC and basin.
The right hand side landing with airing cupboard and sofa leads to a large twin bedroom with two single beds. Television with Freeview and DVD.
A family bathroom with WC, basin and bath with overhead shower.
A cot can be supplied on request in the twin room to make up a maximum occupancy of 4 plus a cot. A high chair, cot bedding and baby towels are also available on request.

Gardens and Parking:
Private patio area with seating for 4 and BBQ during the Summer months.
Shared use of one acre of communal garden, with wildlife pond, paddock and childrenís play area with swings and sandpit. Seating with views of the surrounding hills across the valley.

Children's Play Area:
Set within an acre of communal garden our children's play area will allow you to relax whilst your children play. With its swings, large sand pit, sculpted dragon and a large paddock to run around in, you will have plenty of time to enjoy the distant views and wildlife pond from one of the various seating areas. Sit back, relax and enjoy our tranquil Shropshire countryside.

Please Note: Due to the bedrooms being separated by a staircase this property may not be suitable for very young children. Please enquire or look at Swallow Cottage for alternative accommodation.

Visiting Bucknell & Exploring Shropshire

Nearby is the Welsh market town of Knighton, home of the Offa's Dyke Heritage Centre and long distance path. Ludlow with its harmonious mix of architecture and 11th Century castle provides the perfect backdrop to its famous Michelin star restaurants, food fairs and various festivals, including its annual Shakespearean inspired Ludlow Festival. Also of interest is a visit to Acton Scott working farm as featured in the recent BBC2 television series 'Victorian Farm' and Stokesay Court, which is a magnificent late Victorian mansion and featured as a primary location for the film adaptation of Ian McEwan's novel "Atonement".
