The light and airy ground floor sitting room looks out onto beautiful private gardens and offers a welcoming, family-friendly space with elegant seating. With a widescreen TV, DVD player and a selection of games, DVDs and books, it’s an ideal place to relax after a day exploring the Dales.
At the heart of the cottage is a spacious, modern kitchen, fully equipped to cater for up to 14 guests. It includes everything you could need for a self-catering stay and more, with an American-style fridge freezer complete with water fountain and ice maker, two dishwashers, a large range-style cooker and a microwave.
The large dining room features a bespoke table that comfortably seats 14. Large patio doors open out onto a patio area, where a barbecue and outdoor furniture are provided, making it perfect for al fresco dining during the warmer months.
A practical utility room on the ground floor provides space for storing muddy boots, along with a washing machine and tumble dryer.
All bedrooms at Littondale Cottage are en-suite, featuring either baths with overhead showers or walk-in showers. There are three bedrooms on the ground floor, including an impressive king-sized oak four-poster room, a double room and a spacious twin room.
On the first floor, there are three further bedrooms, including a twin room and two more king-sized oak four-poster rooms. One of these also includes a set of full-sized bunk beds, making it ideal for families. There is also a second lounge on this floor, offering a useful additional space with comfortable seating and a widescreen TV.
The property offers ample parking for several cars.
The cottage is within walking distance of the charming village of Litton, home to the 17th-century inn The Queens Arms, where guests can enjoy a warm welcome, home-cooked meals, or a relaxed pint by the open fire. Just two miles away in the picturesque village of Arncliffe is The Falcon Inn, a traditional pub famous for being used as the original filming location for “The Woolpack” in the popular TV series Emmerdale.
There are plenty of places to explore in and around Litton, making it an ideal base for discovering the beauty of the Yorkshire Dales National Park. The village of Malham is just a short drive away and is famous for natural landmarks such as Malham Cove, Gordale Scar and Janet's Foss, all offering spectacular walks and scenery. The historic market town of Skipton itself is well worth a visit, home to the impressive Skipton Castle and a bustling high street with independent shops, cafés and a traditional market. Nearby, the picturesque village of Grassington offers cobbled streets, cosy pubs and galleries, while the peaceful ruins of Bolton Abbey provide beautiful riverside walks and picnic spots.
