Tucked into the South Devon countryside, Woodbury Farm Holiday Cottages enjoy a peaceful rural setting only a short drive from the riverside town of Dartmouth. Perfectly positioned for days by the sea or exploring rolling countryside, the farm is close to stunning beaches such as Blackpool Sands and the long sweep of Slapton Sands, set within protected and picturesque coastal landscape.
The self-catering cottages are arranged in a courtyard of converted barns alongside the farmhouse. Each cottage sleeps six guests across three ground-floor bedrooms, including one king-size en-suite, one king-size room and one twin room sharing a family bathroom. Upstairs, the open-plan living area features original roof trusses and a vaulted ceiling, creating a bright and airy space for relaxing. The cottages work well for two families holidaying together or a larger group of friends and both are decorated for Christmas with a large tree during the festive season.
Outside each cottage there is a private dining area with a barbecue, as well as a larger shared barbecue space. Guests also have use of a separate utility room with a washing machine and freezer. For children, there is a covered play area with table tennis, a basketball hoop, football goal and swing ball, providing entertainment whatever the weather. The orchard paddock offers plenty of space to run around and unwind and wildlife such as deer and even the rare Cirl Bunting have been spotted there.
The farm track can be bumpy in places, so slow driving is advised, especially in the yard where children and animals roam freely.
Dartmouth, just ten minutes away, offers shops, cafés, restaurants, pubs and galleries. It is surrounded by some of South Devon’s most scenic and interesting spots. You can visit Dartmouth Castle at the mouth of the estuary for impressive sea views, or take the ferry to Greenway, the former holiday home of Agatha Christie, set in beautiful gardens above the river. Nearby beaches such as Blackpool Sands offer safe swimming and coastal walks, while the South West Coast Path provides spectacular cliff-top scenery. A short drive inland brings you to the market town of Totnes, known for its historic buildings, castle and vibrant independent scene.
