Redlands Lodge offers a peaceful countryside escape in the heart of Fife, where you can relax and recharge in a charming log cabin or a traditional stone bothy, each featuring its own private hot tub. It’s an ideal setting whether you’re planning a romantic getaway, looking for a quiet break from everyday life, or searching for a cosy base from which to explore the historic towns of St Andrews and Cupar. Our lodges provide a welcoming sanctuary where comfort and calm come naturally.
We offer three beautiful properties, each with its own unique character and atmosphere. Guests can choose between two romantic log cabin apartments or our lovely detached bothy, ensuring a stay that suits your style while still enjoying the same peaceful surroundings and thoughtful touches.
WeeOne is a terraced log cabin apartment with its own private hot tub, offering a cosy and romantic setting for two. This hand-built cabin made from natural logs has an authentic, relaxing feel. The hot tub sits under a covered pergola right beside the cabin and is complemented by a lovely small seating area, ideal for unwinding outdoors. The apartment is terraced and features a private decked area with a table and chairs, a bedroom with a king-size bed and patio doors opening to the rear of the building, full central heating with a Hive thermostat and a small ensuite shower room with an excellent shower. The spacious lounge and kitchen area includes a sofa, dining table and TV, along with a combi oven, grill and microwave, air fryer, small fridge freezer, toaster and a coffee station with a Tassimo machine and kettle, as well as WiFi throughout.
WeeTwo is a snug log cabin apartment designed for two, combining rustic character with modern comfort for an easy, laid-back stay. Built from natural logs, the space has a warm, homely atmosphere that makes it ideal for switching off and enjoying some quiet time together. Just outside, your private hot tub sits beneath a sheltered pergola beside the cabin, with a small seating spot that’s perfect for relaxing in the fresh air. Inside, the king-size bedroom connects through bi-fold doors to a comfortable open-plan living and kitchen area with a sofa, dining table and Smart TV, while central heating with a Hive thermostat and WiFi keep everything convenient. There’s a compact ensuite shower room with strong water pressure and a well-equipped kitchen set up for two, complete with a ceramic hob, air fryer, combi oven, grill and microwave, small fridge freezer, toaster, kettle, Tassimo coffee machine, crockery, pans and a washer dryer. Towels and bed linen are included, the bed is prepared for your arrival and waffle robes are provided for easy trips to and from the hot tub.
Small but beautifully put together, this charming space is perfect for a relaxing escape to the Fife countryside, ideal for two people and even your dog if he’d like to join the adventure. The detached bothy features a king-size bed, a bathroom with a small bath and over-bath power shower along with toiletries and a comfortable lounge and kitchen area with a large sofa, dining table for two, oven and hob, microwave, small fridge freezer and crockery. A washer dryer is also included, along with towels and bed linen, plus a Smart TV and WiFi for added comfort. Outside, there’s a small enclosed decked patio area with a table, chairs and a private hot tub overlooking the fields to the rear, although the hot tub does not have a cover. One dog is welcome in WeeBothy for a charge of £5 per night, though the space is not well suited to large dogs and guests are asked to read the terms and conditions regarding dogs before booking.
Our setting is perfect for a peaceful break, tucked along a country road about a mile from Ladybank and surrounded by fields, trees and beautiful woodland walks, while still being well placed for anyone working around Cupar, Falkland, Pitlessie or Glenrothes and looking for a cosy alternative to a hotel in Fife. Falkland, with its stunning palace and Outlander connections, is just four miles away, Cupar’s market town charm and farmers market are five miles away and local attractions like Hill of Tarvit and horse riding at Barbarafield are close by, while days out to Tentsmuir Beach, St Andrews and the fishing villages of Anstruther, Pittenweem and Crail along the Fife coastal route are always favourites. Ladybank station offers easy rail links to Dundee, Perth and Edinburgh, but with so many small villages to explore, bringing a car is recommended, with the nearest public transport in Ladybank.
