Corn Bunting House is situated in the breathtaking East Neuk of Fife, offering complete privacy and a sense of calm within the natural beauty of the surrounding countryside. Set in the heart of a 160-acre arable farm, the property provides a peaceful rural retreat while remaining just a short drive from the charming fishing village of Pittenweem and the lively coastal town of Anstruther, often regarded as the heartbeat of the East Neuk.
On entering the house, guests are welcomed into a spacious porch, ideal for storing wet or muddy outdoor clothing. Off the main downstairs landing is a warm and inviting lounge with a comfortable sofa, wood-burning stove and smart television. Opposite, a well-equipped games room features a full-size American pool table, full-size table tennis table, another smart television and a second wood burner. To the rear of the house is a large open-plan space combining two dining areas and a fully equipped kitchen designed for family dining. The kitchen includes an electric range oven and hob, American-style fridge freezer with water and ice dispenser, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine, tumble dryer and instant hot water tap. The two dining rooms seat up to 16 people and are complemented by a further wood-burning stove and smart television. This central living area opens directly onto the outdoor seating area and hot tub, while a conveniently located wet room with shower and two toilets completes the ground floor.
Upstairs, there are five beautifully designed bedrooms, each fitted with zip-and-link super king-size beds that can be arranged as twin singles to accommodate up to ten guests comfortably. All bedrooms offer generous storage and lovely views across either the garden or the surrounding countryside. One bedroom benefits from a well-appointed en-suite, while the main bathroom features a vintage roll-top bath, bringing the total to four toilets and three showers throughout the house.
Outside, guests can enjoy a well-maintained walled garden with cobbled seating and a barbecue area beside a sunken six-person hot tub. The grounds also provide parking for up to six vehicles, ensuring plenty of space for larger groups.
The East Neuk of Fife is renowned for its excellent seafood restaurants, welcoming pubs and historic harbours. St Andrews, famous for golf and its university, is just a 15-minute drive away, along with numerous golf courses scattered throughout the area. Nearby attractions include distilleries, historic castles and gardens, artisan workshops and local food producers. For those seeking adventure, water sports at Elie or a boat trip to the Isle of May offer memorable experiences, making the East Neuk a destination with something for everyone.
