Anvil Cottage is located in the village of Embleton, situated on the Northumberland Coast. We have some of the most beautiful coastlines in the country, unspoilt and quiet. We are situated just a short drive from the historic town of Alnwick with its castle and gardens.

The holiday cottage was originally a Blacksmith’s Shop, last used as such about 1880. It has been in the Skipper family since 1953. The cottage was renovated in 2006 with double glazing, upgraded heating and new furnishings. The accommodation consists of one bedroom with twin beds and a shower room/toilet en suite. There is a large living room/dining area and a separate kitchen. The heating, cooking, shower and water heater are all electric. Electricity usage is calculated based on smart meter readings during your stay. All linen is supplied.

Embleton is the ideal base for exploring the whole of the county and the Borders if you so wish. The village itself has not suffered from commercialisation so still has that atmosphere that allows you to relax and unwind from life.
