You can choose to enjoy the peace and quiet of this unique waterway location, explore its historic canal heritage, take a boat trip or just be absorbed by the comings and goings of this bustling canal community.
AccommodationThe holiday cottage provides comfortable accommodation for up to 4 people and is offered over four levels with views of the canal from both bedrooms and the living room.
The living room which is at canal level, is furnished with settees and armchairs situated around the open fire. There is a colour TV and DVD player.
A small winding staircase leads down to the basement which has been converted into a good size fully equipped kitchen/dining room with a vaulted ceiling. There is a washing machine, tumble dryer, oven/hob, microwave and fridge/freezer.
On the first floor of the holiday cottage is the second bedroom with two single beds and a wardrobe. Adjacent is the bathroom with WC, washbasin and bath with electric shower.
Up one more small staircase and you reach the main bedroom with double bed, chest of drawers and built-in wardrobes.
Bed linen, bath and hand towels, tea towels and electricity are included in the rates. Heating throughout the property is by slim line electric storage radiators.
AreaThe village of Stoke Bruerne also includes two pubs (The Boat Inn and The Navigation), two restaurants (Woodwards and Spice of Bruerne), three gift shops (Jenny's Gift's, Topiary and one at the Canal Museum), a small shop selling basic provisions (attached to The Boat Inn) and Rookery Open Farm is about an 8 minute walk away .
