The Lily Pad is a distinctive collection of eight accessible self-catering cottages and apartments, designed to suit everything from intimate breaks to large group gatherings. Conveniently located with quick access to the A1 and A14, it provides a central and easy meeting point for families and friends travelling from across the UK. We are on the borders of Cambridgeshire, Lincolnshire & Rutland. When booked as a whole, the site can accommodate up to 55 guests, making it ideal for celebrations, reunions, or group retreats. Guests can enjoy a range of on-site facilities including exclusive use of a private indoor swimming pool, gentle countryside walks suitable for all ages, secure cycle storage with popular cycling routes nearby, and dog-friendly accommodation for well-behaved pets. Catering for larger groups can also be arranged to make group stays even more relaxed.

The accommodation consists of four purpose-built cottages and four apartments, all thoughtfully designed to be spacious, comfortable, and well equipped for self-catering holidays. Each property offers a welcoming layout and a range of home comforts to ensure a relaxing and enjoyable stay for families, friends and groups of all sizes.

Lily Pad No 1


This is a generously sized three-bedroom cottage sleeping up to six guests, with the added convenience of one bedroom located on the ground floor. The bedrooms can be arranged as either twin beds or king-size doubles, offering flexibility for different group arrangements. The cottage features an open-plan living and kitchen area, a ground-floor bathroom with a wet-room style shower and access to a private patio and garden. With parking directly outside, underfloor heating throughout and comfortable leather sofas, this cottage is particularly suitable for escorted wheelchair users and guests with mobility needs.

Lily Pad No 2


This is also a three-bedroom cottage accommodating up to six guests, with one bedroom on the ground floor and flexible bedroom layouts that can be configured as twin or king-size double beds. The open-plan living and kitchen space is bright and welcoming, complemented by a ground-floor bathroom with a wet-room style shower. Outside, guests can enjoy a patio and garden area, with parking located directly in front of the cottage. Underfloor heating and leather sofas add to the comfort, making this property ideal for guests requiring accessible accommodation.

Lily Pad No 4


This is a two-bedroom first-floor apartment featuring its own private roof terrace for outdoor dining and relaxation. Inside, there is an open-plan kitchen and living area, a bathroom with a shower over the bath and WC, as well as an additional separate WC. Parking is located directly in front of the apartment. Access is via five wooden steps and there are also external seating areas in the rear garden, which can be reached through the kitchen.

Lily Pad No 5


Lily Pad No 5 is a very spacious one-bedroom apartment that can sleep between one and four guests, with a double sofa bed located in the open-plan living area. The apartment includes a full-size kitchen equipped with a fridge, freezer, dishwasher, microwave and electric cooker, along with a bathroom featuring a wet-room style shower. All accommodation is on one level, with parking directly outside, making it particularly suitable for guests with mobility needs. A private rear garden with seating is accessible through French doors from the bedroom. This apartment is also ideal for business visitors, with flexible stays available from one night or Monday to Friday lets.

Lily Pad No 6


This is a large five-bedroom cottage sleeping up to ten guests and is well suited to families or groups. It offers two bathrooms, including a ground-floor bathroom with a wet-room style shower. One bedroom is located on the ground floor, while upstairs the fifth bedroom includes a double sofa bed and can also be used as a playroom or chill-out space. The remaining bedrooms feature zip-and-link beds that can be arranged as twins or king-size doubles. The spacious open-plan living area includes three large leather sofas, a dining table and chairs and a well-equipped kitchen with a dishwasher. With the option to add an extra dining table, the space can comfortably seat up to 20 guests. A rear garden with outdoor dining furniture and parking directly in front of the cottage add further convenience for guests with mobility considerations.

Lily Pad No 7


Lily Pad No 7 mirrors the layout and facilities of No 6, offering five bedrooms and accommodation for up to ten guests. It includes two bathrooms, one of which is on the ground floor with a wet-room style shower, and a ground-floor bedroom suitable for guests with reduced mobility. The fifth bedroom upstairs includes a double sofa bed and can also serve as a flexible family or relaxation space. The open-plan living area is spacious and sociable, with leather sofas, dining furniture and a fully equipped kitchen including a dishwasher, with the option to extend dining space for larger groups. A private rear garden with outdoor seating and parking directly outside complete this cottage.

Lily Pad No 8


This is a ground-floor two-bedroom apartment sleeping up to four guests and has been designed with accessibility in mind. Wide double doors throughout the property make it particularly suitable for wheelchair users and guests with mobility issues. The bedrooms feature zip-and-link beds, allowing them to be arranged as twin or double rooms as preferred. A small rear garden is accessible via French doors from the kitchen, providing a pleasant outdoor space.

Lily Pad No 9


Lily Pad No 9 is a first-floor two-bedroom apartment sleeping four guests and is accessed via external stairs, making it unsuitable for guests with mobility needs. The bedrooms include zip-and-link beds that can be configured as twins or doubles to suit guest preferences. A small outdoor seating area is located at the top of the stairs, offering a place to relax and enjoy the surroundings.

At The Lily Pad, accessibility is a key priority and every effort has been made to create a welcoming and inclusive environment. Many of the cottages feature accessible bathrooms designed with guests’ needs in mind, incorporating elements such as grab rails, shower seats and hand-held shower heads. Wide doorways throughout much of the accommodation allow for easier movement for wheelchair users and those with mobility aids, while ground-floor bedrooms in several properties provide added convenience. The team is always happy to discuss individual requirements and will do their best to accommodate specific accessibility needs.

The Lily Pad also benefits from an excellent location for exploring the surrounding area, with easy access to local towns including Oundle, Cambridge, Stamford and Peterborough.
