West Close Farmhouse Cottages provide self-catering accommodation in the picturesque village of Melmerby, surrounded by breathtaking views of Coverdale and the North York Moors National Park. Just a short distance from the vibrant market town of Leyburn, our holiday cottages offer the perfect base for a peaceful countryside escape while remaining close to local attractions and amenities.

This split-level cottage sleeps up to 4 guests and is perfect for a relaxing getaway in a stunning countryside setting. Full of character, the property features a stone fireplace, exposed wooden beams and a galleried landing. The cosy living room includes a log-burning stove, TV, DVD player, Wi-Fi and views over the dales, while a bright and airy lounge provides the ideal space to unwind after a day exploring. The spacious kitchen/diner is well equipped with everything needed for home cooking.
Upstairs, there are two beautifully furnished bedrooms, one double and one twin, which share a bathroom complete with bath, shower and WC. Bed linen and towels are provided for your convenience. Outside, guests can enjoy a dedicated BBQ area with garden furniture, perfect for relaxing with a drink while taking in the spectacular countryside views.

This is also a charming split-level, single-storey property converted from a former stone barn, offering a cosy retreat in the countryside. Guests enter through a light and airy conservatory and porch, with space for coats and shoes, which leads into a modern, well-equipped kitchen and a welcoming lounge with dining area, complete with a stone fireplace and log-burning stove. From the conservatory, kitchen and lounge, you can enjoy extensive views of the surrounding landscape. A short stairway of five steps leads from the lounge to two comfortable bedrooms and a contemporary bathroom fitted with a bath, shower, washbasin and WC. One bedroom includes a double bed and chest of drawers, while the other offers two single beds and a chest of drawers, with additional hanging space provided in a landing cupboard.

Outside, guests benefit from a large, private, secure floodlit parking area, along with a patio furnished with garden seating, perfect for relaxing and making the most of the peaceful setting.

Both cottages have electric vehicle type 2 sockets with their own meters.

This is the ideal location for enjoying a range of outdoor activities including walking, cycling, golfing and horse riding. We are within easy reach of Leyburn with its horse racing connections and historic castle, whilst Masham boasts a range of breweries. There are also many other interesting attractions to visit such as Bolton Castle, Aysgarth Falls, Fountains Abbey and Wensleydale Creamery. Attractions to visit include:
