The Dairy is set on the edge of Heacham, just a couple of minutes’ stroll from South Beach and the sweeping sands of the North Norfolk Coast. The cottage blends rustic character with modern comforts, giving couples, families and four-legged friends a relaxed seaside base within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. You can wander straight onto the Norfolk Coast Path, watch sunsets over The Wash from the garden, then fall asleep to the faint murmur of the tide.
The Dairy is a self-catering cottage that blends the tranquillity of farm life with modern comforts, creating the perfect setting for a cosy and memorable break. With a spacious open-plan kitchen, dining and living area, along with comfortable bedrooms, it offers a unique countryside escape.
Inside, a winding staircase leads to a landing with west-facing views of the sea. The master bedroom enjoys a south-facing aspect, showcasing sunsets through its distinctive porthole windows. A triple children’s room features a double-bottom bunk bed, ideal for siblings to share, while a single room provides privacy for a teenager or an additional adult. Downstairs, the kitchen is fully equipped for self-catering and seats six comfortably, while the living room opens via patio doors onto a private south-facing stone and grass garden with outdoor seating. There is a downstairs shower room and WC, as well as a full bathroom upstairs, ensuring convenience for all guests.
The accommodation is available for weekend bookings from Friday to Monday and weekday stays from Monday to Friday, with changeover days on Mondays and Fridays.
Heacham lies at the heart of the North Norfolk Coast, a stretch celebrated for unspoilt beaches, huge skies and rich wildlife. From the cottage you can join the coastal path south to Snettisham’s RSPB reserve or north to the Victorian resort of Hunstanton for ice creams beneath its famous striped cliffs. Seal-watching boat trips leave nearby Blakeney, while Wells-next-the-Sea tempts with colourful beach huts and crabbing on the quay. Inland, Holkham Hall’s Palladian grandeur sits in 25,000 acres of deer-grazed parkland and the Georgian streets of King’s Lynn offer museums and cafés for rainy days.
