Partridge BarnOur superb barn dates back to the 17th/18th Centuries and offers the ideal escape from the pressures of modern life. The property sleeps 4 adults plus 1 child on a sofa bed. The sofa bed is on the wonderful mezzanine floor and there is also a double bedroom on this floor. The twin room is on the ground floor and there is a bathroom with shower over the bath.
The ground floor comprises of a cosy living/dining area and a separate kitchen. The kitchen is fully equipped and comes with a range of excellent appliances. The living room includes comfy sofas and a TV, perfect for relaxing and unwinding in.
Outside is a patio, lawned garden, BBQ and garden furniture from which to enjoy the rural views after a day exploring.
Pheasant BarnOur elegant 1 bedroom barn, like its sister barn, dates back to the 17th/18th Centuries and ideal for a romantic holiday away. This property sleeps up to 2 adults plus 1 child under 16 on a foldaway or travel cot. Pheasant Barn is all on the ground floor level making it potentially suitable for wheelchair users or those with limited mobility. On entering the barn you will be greeted by the high vaulted and beamed ceiling of the kitchen/dining area. This leads through to the living area with French doors on to a delightful private patio. A door off the dining area takes you to a well appointed double bedroom and there is also a bathroom. The large bathroom has a standard sized bath with shower over.
The relaxing living area has a comfortable sofa with coffee table and a sideboard with TV/DVD. The is plenty of space in the living areas and it may be possible to accommodate 1 child on a camp style bed if required (please enquire as to availability).
Outside is a wonderful patio, lawned garden, BBQ and garden furniture, the perfect place for a spot of al fresco dining.
Local AreaNorwich and close to the Suffolk/Norfolk borders. Nearby attractions include Banham Zoo, Steam museums at Bressingham and Forncett and Wymondham Abbey. The village of Long Stratton is 3 miles away with shops and facilities and the market Town of Diss is nearby. The medieval city of Norwich is some 9 miles north. Dunston Hall is some 5 miles away has a wonderful Spa and Golf course (open to non residents). The famous Norfolk Broads are within easy reach and perfect for a day exploring on one of the many boats for hire.
The Suffolk Heritage coast is under an hour away and includes the famous towns of Southwold and Aldeburgh, popular for their coloured beach houses, fashionable shops and beaches, including some of the best fish and chips around. Also within reach is the North Norfolk coast, including seaside towns such as Cromer and the pretty town of Wells next the sea, famous for crabbing along the quay, Blakeney and of course the beach and stately home at Holkham. Slightly further away is the Queens Christmas residence of Sandringham, but still easily accessible for a day trip.
