Knott Cottage offers a choice of two open-plan studios as well as a spacious, well-appointed two-bedroom apartment. Each property sits only a short stroll, around 100 metres, from the high-tide line of a peaceful, sheltered bay, creating an ideal setting for a restful break. From the shore, you can take in sweeping views of the distant Outer Hebrides while watching for otters, seals and an array of seabirds that frequent the area.

The Apartment occupies the upper floor of the house and has its own private entrance. It offers bright, centrally heated two-bedroom accommodation with spectacular views over Loch Snizort Beag. The open-plan living area is light and welcoming, furnished with comfortable sofas and a dining table and chairs and it flows into a well-equipped galley kitchen where large windows frame breathtaking views of the loch. The two bedrooms, one double and one twin, are decorated in neutral tones with natural materials and are furnished with high-quality mattresses, premium linen, double wardrobes and additional storage. The bathroom is thoughtfully appointed and includes an over-bath shower and washbasin. Outside, guests are welcome to make use of the garden, which includes a spacious lawn, a drying green and a sheltered enclosed flower garden. Garden furniture is provided for those who wish to sit outdoors and enjoy the views.

Each of the two Studios are a mirror to the other, offering bright, contemporary open-plan accommodation designed for one or two guests. With vaulted ceilings, underfloor heating and high-quality furnishings, they feel spacious and inviting, while large picture windows frame uninterrupted panoramic views of Loch Snizort Beag. Ideal for a romantic escape or honeymoon, each Studio features a king-sized bed with a superior mattress, quality linens, ample storage in a fitted wardrobe and bedside cabinet, and convenient wall-mounted reading lights. The lounge area centres around two comfortable swivel chairs positioned to take full advantage of the sweeping views across the loch to the Outer Hebrides. A well-equipped kitchen with fitted units and a wooden worktop provides everything needed for self-catering, and even the kitchen window offers a view that makes everyday tasks more enjoyable, though a dishwasher is included for convenience. The beautifully finished bathroom features a large walk-in rainfall shower and includes towels. Entertainment options include a TV with DVD player, a music system with CD player, radio, iPod dock, mp3 connection and free WiFi, along with a selection of books, DVDs, board games and jigsaws. Outside, a small courtyard with private seating overlooks the loch and guests are welcome to relax in the flower garden as well.

The accommodation is situated in Knott, a crofting township of 7 houses, which lies midway between Skye’s main centre Portree and Dunvegan, with it’s world famous Castle and Gardens.It is ideally placed to explore the many tourist attractions the Isle of Skye has to offer - from the outstanding peaks of the renowned Black Cuillin to the extraordinary geological and prehistoric spectacle of the Trotternish peninsula.
