Mill Cottage offers outstanding self catering accommodation in the tranquil hamlet of Shedog. Our cottage is on the edge of Shiskine and is just two miles north of the seaside village of Blackwaterfoot on the west side of the island.

Accommodation

The outward appearance of this 150 year old cottage is typically west coast in style whilst offering modern accommodation inside. This beautiful furnished cottage boasts three double bedrooms, two bathrooms, an open plan living room and galley style kitchen. The garden extends to about a third of an acre and is a safe place for the children to play whilst the adults relax.

On the ground floor there is a living /dining room with patio doors to the rear garden. Facilities include a TV and DVD player. The well equipped galley kitchen comes with an electric cooker, washing machine and microwave. A bathroom with a shower over bath and a second toilet/washroom are also available. On the ground floor there is a double bedroom.

The first floor has a lovely landing with a Velux window, perfect for star gazing on moonlight nights. Two twin rooms are available. One room comes with a Velux window.

Bed linen, bathroom and kitchen hand towels are all included. Personal towels are not provided.

Outside is a small front garden and rear garden. A slabbed terrace area with garden furniture is perfect for a morning coffee or a glass of wine in the evening.

Visiting Shedog & Exploring the Isle of Arran

Nearby are two of the seven Arran golf courses. Lots of activities are nearby, such as tennis, bowling, quad biking, trout fishing, fine beaches and rock pools. In clubhouses and the local hotels there is good wining and dining at a sensible cost. One hotel also has a swimming pool and fitness facilities. For the energetic there is plenty of hill and forest walking, cycles for hire and even hand gliding. Lots of excellent attractions are nearby:
