The Dovecote at Upper Court is a calm, relaxing place to stay. Set on the banks of a private lake, this retreat for 2 is a haven for those who want to escape the hustle and bustle of modern day living. Our accommodation is a short drive from Tewkesbury at Kemerton and an ideal base for those looking to explore Gloucestershire. Watch Swans float past your door, drift across the lake in our boat or just sit and chill.

About The Dovecote

This holiday home has an open plan lounge/kitchen with marble flooring, underfloor heating and flame effect stove.

The dreamy bedroom, on the first floor, has a beautiful antique four-poster bed and views across the water. The good sized bathroom is on the second floor and has an extra bed at the dressing room end, curtained off. Ideal for a little one.

Facilities

The Dovecote is just one of five properties on site. The accommodation can be let on its own or alongside other properties to suit your requirements. This is ideal for weddings, hen parties, corporate events or large family get togethers. All who stay at Upper Court have access to the following facilities.

Covered swimming pool open from May – September. Please bring your own swimming towels. Children must be with an adult please.
Table tennis room with dartboard. Please bring your own bats, balls and darts.
Croquet - Play Croquet on the main lawn in front of the house – the quintessential way to spend an English summer afternoon. Ask us for mallets and balls (adult equipment only available).
Boating.
Children’s play area.
Pottery classes by arrangement.
Beauty treatments and holistic therapies by arrangement.

Visiting Kemerton & Exploring Gloucestershire

Kemerton is in the heart of walking country, so pull your boots on and why not take a walk onto Bredon Hill and enjoy the outstanding views over the surrounding ancient landscape. For the energetic the Cotswold Way (102 miles) runs between the market town of Chipping Campden in the north and Bath in the south along the Cotswold escarpment. Whilst the majestic Malverns are within easy reach.

If you want to enjoy the day exploring the area, you will find that there is something that all ages can enjoy. Whether it is a stroll along a riverside, exploring the historic town of Tewkesbury or simply visiting one of the nearby attractions such as Odda’s Chapel or Showborough House Sculpture Garden, there is plenty to see and do.
