Summary

Elderburn Luxury Lodges are contemporary lodges offering self-catering accommodation in Fife, on Scotland’s scenic east coast. Just three miles from the historic town of St Andrews, the lodges provide a peaceful and stylish retreat surrounded by rolling countryside and coastal charm.

Lodge 1

This single-storey, two-bedroom lodge sleeps up to four guests and is perfect for a small family or a couple of friends. Both bedrooms have their own en-suite, one with a generous double shower and the other with a shower-over-bath so everyone enjoys a little extra privacy. A bright open-plan living, dining and kitchen area opens through patio doors, filling the space with light and countryside air, while outside a sheltered seating nook takes in sweeping vistas that stretch north to the Angus Glens and the distant Cairngorms. After a day exploring St Andrews, come home to watch the sunset pour through the floor-to-ceiling windows and unwind in utter peace.

Lodge 2

Set against rolling Fife farmland, this two-bedroom lodge offers a stylish self-catering base for up to four people. Each bedroom can be configured as super-king or twin and comes with its own en-suite, making the property ideal for couples travelling together. The heart of the lodge is an airy open-plan lounge and dining space whose picture windows frame tranquil rural views, while patio doors invite you out to a sun-caught terrace for morning coffee. Inside, plush sofas, soft carpets and contemporary artwork create a relaxed, home-from-home atmosphere, and the well-equipped kitchen makes family suppers effortless. After dark, sink into comfy seating and enjoy the quiet of the countryside night sky.

Lodge 3

Lodge 3 is the pick for groups who like a dash of indulgence: it is the only Elderburn property with exclusive use of a private hot tub. Sleeping six across three bedrooms, the double-storey layout gives everyone room to spread out, while an enclosed patio keeps children safe and evenings sociable. Inside, neutral décor is lifted by pops of tartan and tweed, and a generous open-plan kitchen–diner flows into a lounge with deep sofas and floor-lamps. Gather round the sturdy farmhouse table for lazy breakfasts, then return after a day on the links to soak tired muscles under the stars before curling up with a film on the large-screen TV.

Lodge 4

With three bedrooms and space for up to eight guests, double-storey Lodge 4 is designed for family celebrations and get-togethers with friends. A vaulted entrance leads to a sociable open-plan kitchen and dining area equipped for crowd-pleasing cook-ups, while French doors open to a sheltered patio so meals can spill outdoors on sunny evenings. Upstairs, warm tartan throws and soft woollen rugs give each bedroom a cosy Highland feel, and there are enough bathrooms to keep the morning rush to a minimum. Books, board games and DVDs fill the shelves, so rainy days are as memorable as beach days and an enclosed patio means children can play while grown-ups linger over coffee.

Lodge 6

Purpose-built for accessibility without compromising on style, single-storey Lodge 6 offers step-free luxury living for up to four guests. Wide doorways, grab rails and a spacious wet-room make life easy for wheelchair users, while an open-plan kitchen, dining and lounge area ensures everyone stays part of the conversation. Outside, a private patio with level access is perfect for al-fresco lunches overlooking the fields. Bedrooms can be set up as twins or super-kings to suit your party, and subtle neutral décor combines with tactile fabrics to create a soothing retreat. Whether you’re planning family golf at St Andrews or simply a peaceful break, Lodge 6 provides comfort, convenience and beautiful country views in equal measure.
