Barritshayes Farm Cottages are set in the heart of the Coly Valley, surrounded by the rolling countryside of the East Devon National Landscape and just outside the historic town of Colyton, only five miles from Honiton. With the Jurassic Coast close by, guests are within easy reach of Lyme Regis, Beer, Sidmouth and a host of local attractions. Offering a choice of self-catering cottages and a timber cabin retreat, accommodation sleeps between two and six people, or up to fourteen when booked together, making it ideal for couples, families or larger groups. All cottages are dog friendly with enclosed gardens and there is a paddock where dogs can be exercised off lead.

Set within nine acres of gardens and paddocks, Barritshayes provides plenty to enjoy, including a heated outdoor saltwater swimming pool, a tennis court and a well-equipped games room, as well as peaceful grounds with far-reaching views for a truly relaxing stay.

This cottage is converted from an old farm building, offering the perfect blend of charm and comfort. Its open-plan ground floor features a fully equipped kitchen and dining area with everything needed for a self-catering stay, along with a welcoming lounge complete with Smart TV, DVD player, Bluetooth radio and games for relaxing after a day of exploring. Upstairs, there is a double bedroom with sloping ceilings, a second bedroom with bunk beds and a family shower room, all finished with soft towels and Egyptian cotton bed linen for a restful night’s sleep. Families are well catered for with a fitted stair gate, travel cots and highchairs available, while outside the cottage has its own enclosed garden with dining furniture, sun loungers and a BBQ, making it the ideal spot to unwind, watch the sunset or enjoy stargazing under clear night skies.

The kitchen is well equipped with an oven, hob, microwave, fridge freezer and all the crockery and utensils you’ll need for a self-catering stay. Large windows and double doors open onto the spacious private garden, where you can relax on the patio, enjoy a BBQ or simply sit back and soak up the views. To make your stay even easier, complimentary tea, coffee, sugar and milk are provided along with kitchen essentials, leaving more room in your suitcase for some treats from Devon to take home.

The games room is perfect for family fun with table tennis, darts, table football, air hockey, pool, plus books and DVDs to borrow. Set within nine acres, the grounds feature an outdoor play area and swings, a wildflower meadow, a small vineyard and plenty of wildlife, with regular sightings of buzzards, deer and pheasants and the sound of owls at night. A guest laundry room with washing machine and dryer is also available, making life easier for families and longer stays.

The cottages are situated between Colyton and the pretty village of Northleigh with its 13th Century church. The historic town of Colyton is 2 miles away with picturesque narrow streets and town square with a range of local shops, pubs and restaurants. Our holiday cottage is close to Beer, Seaton, Budleigh Salterton, Lyme Regis, Sidmouth and other beautiful seaside towns along the Jurassic Coast. We are also just 4 miles from the historic lace town of Honiton where you can shop, dine and enjoy the sights.
