Brighouse Bay Cottages are three self catering cottages overlooking the unspoilt bay of Brighouse near Kircudbright. We are a great base for exploring a range of attractions in Dumfries & Galloway.
Our three cottages are furnished to the same high standard and provide comfortable holiday accommodation for up to six guests. Each cottage includes a living room furnished with a sofa, two armchairs, an electric log-effect stove, TV, DVD and video player, Sky Freeview and a CD music system. The kitchen is fully equipped with a washer/dryer, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, electric cooker, microwave and a dining table with six chairs, with a high chair available on request. The bathroom features a three-piece white suite with a shower over the bath. Upstairs there are three bedrooms, including a master bedroom with an en-suite shower room, one additional double bedroom and one twin room, with a travel cot available on request. Parking is available at both the front and rear of the cottages and each property also benefits from a pleasant enclosed garden with sea views, garden furniture and a barbecue.
The bay boasts views over the Irish Sea and is surrounded by 1200 acres of walking country. Quiet rural roads make for safe cycling and there is a free-to-use slipway close by if you want to bring along your dinghy. At the head of the bay, there is a safe sandy beach. The cottages are in a peaceful rural setting 2 miles from Borgue, and a bit further from Kirkcudbright, and they have expansive views over Brighouse Bay, the rolling Galloway hills and over the Solway to the Isle of Man. There is just a total of six properties on Brighouse Bay.
