Galloway Lodges offers modern accommodation in a stunning location at Barend Loch. Nestled within the hamlet of Barend, Sandyhills, on the Colvend Coast of the Solway Firth, we are perfect for an idyllic getaway in Dumfries & Galloway.

We have 3 Scandinavian-style lodges to choose from, all set in an elevated position, offering views of the loch, across the hills of Colvend Golf Course towards the Solway Firth. The 4-star lodges are all well-equipped and come with everything you need for a relaxing getaway. All the properties have use of a communal garden.

This cosy lodge sleeps 2-6 people, great for a tranquil retreat. Inside there is a super king bedroom and bathroom with a shower over bath. A spacious open plan sitting/dining area is ideal for relaxing in and the kitchen is well-equipped. Doors from the lounge open onto a balcony area, offering a lovely spot for a coffee in the morning sun. Open-tread stairs lead to a large twin room, a second lounge area and a further king room.

Our charming lodge sleeps 2-6 people, perfect for a family or group holiday. Inside there is a super king bedroom and bathroom with a shower over bath. A spacious open plan sitting/dining area is ideal for relaxing in and the kitchen is well-equipped. Doors from the lounge open onto a balcony area, ideal for relaxing on whilst savouring the views. Open-tread stairs lead to a large twin room, a second lounge area and a double en suite room.

This lodge sleeps 2-4 people, great for a romantic getaway. Inside there is a double bedroom and a shower room with a walk-in shower. A relaxing open plan sitting/dining/kitchen area will suit all your needs. A patio door from the lounge leads to a balcony area, ideal for unwinding in with a glass of wine. Open tread stairs from the small sitting area lead to a larger lounge. A further super king bedroom is also available.

Our lodges are in a fantastic position for discovering all that the local area has to offer. You can visit sandy beaches, forests, Colvend Golf Club, rugged coastline and a range of activities. You can also visit the coastline, ancient castles, monuments and much more. Attractions to visit include:
