Stoer Villa is a family friendly holiday let, set in a stunning part of the Scottish Highlands. Our tastefully refurbished, traditional home includes everything you need for an enjoyable break away. It is located at Stoer near Lochinver, an ideal base from which to explore Sutherland.

About Stoer Villa

This 19th Century stone house has been tastefully decorated and furnished throughout, providing guests with a place to stay that feels warm and homely. It is ideal for families and large groups as it can accommode up to 9 people.

On the ground floor are the three main rooms and two bathrooms. The kitchen is brand new and has dining for up to 8 people and a dining room with seating for up to 6. We have thoughtfully furnished the lounge to ensure that is a comfortable place to rest at any time of day. It has a large flat screen smart TV and a wood burning stone.

All of the bedrooms are on the first floor; however there is a sofa bed on the ground floor for those with limited mobility. The bedrooms consist of:

Master bedroom with en suite.
Children’s room with bunk beds.
Attic room with double bed.
Twin bedroom.

There are three bathrooms in the house, all of which are equipped with modern showers.

Guests will be given instructions on how to find the keys and information on all they need to know to enjoy their stay. Our friendly neighbour Bill lives less than half a mile away and will be on hand to provide additional information or in case of any emergencies. Otherwise, the guests will be left alone to enjoy their holiday in private.

Visiting Stoer & Exploring Sutherland

Stoer is the perfect base for outdoor activities. You will find many walks with breath taking views, great fishing opportunities and white sandy beaches.

For the outdoor enthusiast, you can:
Hike up Suilven - one of Scotland's most remote summits.
Explore the other hills to the north and south.
The coast is superb for sea kayaking (kayaks can be rented locally)
The area is well known for rock climbing.
Excellent longer cycling trips can be made along the coastal roads.
