Ivydene in Stromness offers excellent self catering accommodation. Our cottage in Orkney is adjacent to a natural spring feeding a small pond and surrounded by glorious fields, a true paradise for relaxation.

Accommodation

This wonderful cottage sleeps up to 6 people and is tastefully furnished throughout. The cottage is great for a family or group looking for somewhere secluded and peaceful to stay.

The well-equipped modern kitchen comes with an oven, hob, microwave, kettle, toaster, grill, fridge freezer, washing machine, tumble drier, dishwasher, cutlery, cooking utensils and crockery. Unwind in the living room after a day in the countryside. Facilities include an electric coal effect fire and Freeview TV. Additionally, there is a sun lounge with a table and chairs.

Bedrooms consist of a double and twin room. A double sofa bed is also available in the lounge. All bed linen and towels are included. A shower wet room has a WC and washbasin.

Visiting Stromness & Exploring Orkney

We are only a short drive from the Loch of Stenness and the Loch of Harray where free fishing and boat hire are available. Sea fishing by boat is also available from Stromness. You can play a round of Golf at Stromness Golf Club or head to the main diving centre in Scapa Flow. Within a few miles are Scara Brae, the Brough of Birsay and Skaill House. Further attractions to visit include:

Standing Stones of Stennes.
The Ring of Brodgar and Maes Howe.
Stromness Museum.
Graemsay.
Ness Battery.
