We aim to provide guests with a comfortable place to stay that feels like a home away from home.

About Bee-Eater Cottage

The cottage is named after a pair of breeding Bee-Eaters, who were seen in the nature reserve next to the farm. During this time, we were visiting by many keen birdwatchers from throughout the UK, including RSPB volunteers who stayed for nearly 3 months to observe these beautiful birds.
Once the birds had moved on, we decided to keep the name and offer our cottage to all who would like a peaceful breakaway and an opportunity to do some birdwatching of their own whilst exploring this lovely part of England.
The cottage includes everything you need for an enjoyable stay, no matter how short or long, Downstairs is a large breakfast kitchen, lounge/dining room and bedroom with a double bed. There is also a WC and utility room.
Upstairs there are three bedrooms; one with a double bed, one with two singles and one with bunk-beds. There is also a family bathroom, with a bath and shower.
Outside is where you can enjoy your location. In front of the house, there is a small garden where you can enjoy a BBQ or simply sit out and watch the parkland animals with the lake in the distance. There is also a 5-acre grass field just the other side of the fence where many a game of family football or rounders has been undertaken, as well as kite flying, frisbee and a whole host of other games.
To the rear of the house is an enclosed garden and parking for as many vehicles as you could bring.
Bee-Eater cottage is only 25 years old and offers modern facilities in a rural location. Be sure to bring good outdoor clothing so as you can make the most of your stay by walking the beautiful farm and if you're, lucky you’ll be able to experience our wonderful animals close-up by taking full benefit of your VIP stay.
