Brantwood offers outstanding self catering accommodation in Coniston. We are nestled in an idyllic setting, based in 250 acres estate grounds boasting a lakeshore and meadows. The estate has an array of scenic footpaths and cycleways, plus brilliant water-based activities, with a private jetty available for lake access. Further afield you can visit lots of brilliant attractions in Cumbria.

The Eyrie – Lake View Apartment:

This fabulous apartment is perfect for a memorable stay in a glorious setting. This beautifully renovated property enjoys glorious views over Coniston Water and the Lake District fells. Inside there are wonderful interiors and a fully-equipped kitchen for home cooking. Enjoy a restful night’s sleep on the double bed. A spacious bathroom is also available. Steps outside lead to the stunning grounds.

The Lodge:

Our charming lodge has 5 bedrooms, great for a tranquil family or group holiday in a great setting. The Grade II Listed lodge enjoys amazing views and comes with two double rooms, two twins and a single. There are also two showers, a bathroom and a separate loo. The living area also has a wood burner for those chilly days and the fully-equipped kitchen is great for home cooking months. A patio area comes with seating, great for a glass of wine in the afternoon sun.

The Coachman’s Quarters:

This superb studio apartment sleeps 2 people, ideal for a romantic getaway. Based on the upper floor above the Terrae Café, the apartment enjoys amazing views across Coniston Water and the fells. Inside there is a double bed and an en suite shower room. A well-equipped kitchen/diner includes a range of appliances and outside steps lead to idyllic grounds.

Visiting Coniston & Exploring Cumbria

The local area has an abundance of natural scenery to enjoy. Coniston Water is around five miles long and the perfect place for a picturesque walk. You can hire boats and bikes from Coniston Boating Centre. In the village, there are lovely shops, pubs and restaurants. You can also see the remains of the Coniston Coppermines at Coniston Copper Mines. Superb attractions to visit include:

The Old Man of Coniston.

The Ruskin Museum.
