The cottage is on the outskirts of the market town of Skipton - often called 'the Gateway to the Dales' - renowned for its well-preserved castle, quaint cobbled ginnels, it's wide high street with market stalls on the setts. We are a very convenient base, even for visitors without their own transport; having a bus stop at the end of the Grove, and just a 15-20 minute walk into town; passing the railway station, supermarket, restaurant/pub and takeaway en route. There are many local attractions and activities: the park, sports and leisure centres, museum, cinema, Settle-Carlisle railway, cycle routes, walks and rambles from the easy to the strenuous, such as the Three Peaks and the Dales Way. Within 30 minutes travelling distance of Keighley, then on to Haworth of the Brontes'; Bolton Abbey, then on to Harrogate the Spa town; Settle, then on to Ingleton and White Scar Caves; Grassington, then on to Hawes, to name just a few. Please contact us to book direct or for more information.
