At Cherry Tree Cottages, we have two traditional stone cottages, awarded four stars, close to a quiet Calderdale village with two acres of woodland wildlife garden and superb Pennine views. We are in a country location with easy access to West Yorkshire towns and attractions. Pets and children are welcome. Free Wi-Fi is available.

Cherry Tree Cottage

This two bedroomed nineteenth century stone cottage has been recently refurbished and redecorated throughout. All rooms are south facing with extensive views over the Black Brook valley and Pennine Countryside.

The ground floor comprises of a fully equipped lounge/dining room and entrance kitchen with oak units and breakfast bar. The separate lounge/dining room retains the old stone fireplace and exposed beams.

There is a well-appointed bathroom, with feature timber ceiling. A traditional enclosed staircase provides access to the first floor. There are two separate bedrooms; one with double bed the other with built in full size single beds.

Heather Bank Cottage

This one bedroomed holiday cottage has been recently converted from a nineteenth century stone barn still retaining the natural stone walls and timber beams.

The ground floor comprises entrance hall, well-appointed separate bathroom and twin bedded room with beamed ceiling.

The entire first floor is open plan, featuring a high timber-clad ceiling, with dining area, lounge and well-equipped kitchen.

There is direct access from both cottages to our large two acre garden with pond, trees and heather banks. There are many good pubs and restaurants in the local area and some within walking distance.

Visiting Barkisland & Exploring West Yorkshire

There are many places to visit in the local area including Shibden Hall which is a six hundred year old medieval timber framed manor house.

We are in a country location close to the villages of Barkisland and Ripponden within fifteen minutes of Halifax and Huddersfield town centres.

The holiday cottages and ideally situated for exploring Bronte country and historic West Yorkshire. The major tourist attractions of Leeds, Manchester and York are within easy travelling distance.
