Burnside Cottage is set on a private six acre croft in Brora, Sutherland, offering comfortable self catering accommodation. We are the perfect place to escape to from the hustle and bustle of modern life.
Accommodation
Burnside Cottage offers spacious and relaxing accommodation. The property sleeps up to five people and boasts glorious views of Scottish Mountains, Farmland and the sea.It is on one level and has an open plan living room and kitchen with a small seating area. The living room is small but cosy with a wooden Hearth and stone fireplace, TV, DVD player as well as a selection of books and games. There is an entrance hall with built in cupboards and space for shoes and coats etc. The wide corridor leads from the living room to the bright, clean bathroom equipped with toilet, sink and shower.
Next to the bathroom is the twin bedroom, nicely decorated with a window that looks out over the croft and to the sea and beach. The second bedroom is a double bedroom again with lovely views over the croft.
The cottage is situated alongside a stream and has a private patio area and car parking space.
We now have a beautiful cabin to stay in as well. The charming cabin is perfect for a peaceful and relaxing holiday. The cabin sleeps up to two people and is £60 per night. Discounts for weekly bookings available.
Visiting Brora & Exploring Sutherland
The Croft is Situated just 1.5 miles North of Brora on the A9 North. Surrounded by acres of Farm land, against a backdrop of Mountains and a sea view. We are part of the famous NC500 route through to the highlands and have easy access to the west coast, which is only 2 hrs drive away. You can stroll along the award winning Brora Harbour and Brora Beach, a long and secluded beach, perfect for long walks. A golf links course and river fishing, including salmon fishing, is nearby as well. You can enjoy endless winding lanes to walk or bicycle along. Off road hill walking and Golspie Wildcat mountain bike trails are just a short 7 mile drive away. Dunrobin castle has a fairytale garden to relax in; a cafe is onsite and there are daily falconry displays throughout the summer. Many places are nearby:Stroll along Durness Beach.

Visit Kylesku Bridge.
Learn at the Wick Heritage Museum.
Explore Dunrobin Castle and Gardens.

Sutherland is a large area of unspoilt, spectacular scenery in the far north of Scotland. The coast is low lying on the East. You can explore high cliffs and offshore stacks at places like Duncansby Head.
