Culcreuch Castle Estate Lodges
Fintry, Stirling, Stirlingshire
Culcreuch Estate Lodges is an exclusive development of eight comfortable Scandinavian style self catering holiday homes outside of Fintry near Stirling. The self catering lodges are pleasantly sited 200 yards from Culcreuch Castle Hotel, in their own secluded area, reached by a private access road. Our lodges are a perfect base from which to explore Stirlingshire.
About The LodgesOur self catering lodges sleep four or six persons in a double or twin bedded en suite rooms. They all have a kitchen and dining area and a generous lounge with patio doors on to the verandah for complete relaxation and wonderful views.
Three of the Lodges sleep six in three bedrooms - one double en suite, one twin en suite and one with bunk beds.
Four Lodges sleep four in two bedrooms - a double and a twin, both en suite.
The remaining Lodge is four bedded and has been specially adapted to suit guests with a disability. Please enquire for clarification. Vehicles can be driven to and parked conveniently within a few yards of each Lodge.
The verandah of each Lodge offers stunning views of the adjacent ancient woodland and scenic slopes of the Campsie Fells.
Lodge residents have use of the castle's bar and atmospheric dungeon diner, supplemented by the castle's fine dining restaurant in the evening. A full Scottish Breakfast can be pre-booked in the Castle at an additional charge. This is especially necessary at weekends, when the Castle is usually busy with weddings and space therefore at a premium.
The Estate Lodges are popular and often used to complement Culcreuch Castle Hotel facilities.
Culcreuch Castle is an ideal wedding venue and it is central Scotland's oldest inhabited castle with a private loch.
Local AreaCulcreuch Castle is situated only 200 yards away and it is the home of the Galbraith clan. There are many activities to indulge in around Culcreuch Castle Hotel. Its situation within Central Scotland makes it eminently suitable for day trips to east and west, north and south, always with something to take your interest. Hillwalking is very popular in this area and starts just outside the castle door here in the Campsie Fells. Travel 40 minutes by car and you are in shot of three munros, which is to say a mountain over 3,000 ft. For walking and cycling, the less strenuous Campsie Trail links the villages of Fintry, Kippen, Gargunnock, Balfron and Lennoxtown.
