Garrique Cottage near Kippen is in an inspirational setting, enjoying stunning hillside and mountain views of west Stirling’s countryside. Our holiday home offers the perfect mixture of privacy and comfort with easy access to local shops, places to eat and the M9 motorway.

It is a great base for touring Scotland.


Our superb holiday accommodation is on one level and sleeps 6. The gorgeous kitchen/dining/family room has a beautiful beamed ceiling and large windows which bring lots of natural light in. French doors open onto a south/west facing terrace and sheltered garden leading down to a small burn; the ideal place to escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life and enjoy the peace and tranquillity.

The kitchen comes fully equipped with an electric oven, gas hob, microwave, fridge and dishwasher, as well as a TV. A fridge/freezer and washing machine are in the adjoining utility room, and there is also a tumble dryer, a drying green and a small BBQ.

The sitting room has panoramic views of Ben Vorlich, Ben Ledi, and the Braes of Doune, and on a clear day you can see Ben More and Stobinian. The comfortable room has a wood burning stove, TV, DVD player and a large selection of books and board games to have boundless fun playing.

There is a double bedroom, a twin bedroom with plenty of room for a cot or third bed (provided), and a bunk bedroom (unsuitable for children under five). All our bedrooms have hanging space and drawers. The shower room can be en suite with the twin bedroom. The family bathroom has a bath and shower attachment. The third loo is next to the back door.

Local Area

Our lovely holiday home is fortunate to be nestled in the natural beauty of the Scottish countryside. Open field, moors, woods and hills are on the door step, allowing you to savour the peace and seclusion. On the edge of ‘The Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park’, it offers scope for a great variety of walks, bicycle rides and bird watching. A newly resurfaced tennis court is available for use.

The pretty villages of Kippen and Gargunnock are only 4 miles away between them boasting 3 pubs/restaurants, 2 delicatessen/cafés and 2 village shops. The historic city of Stirling with its castle, extensive shopping facilities is within 20 minutes easy drive. Blair Drummond Safari Park is close by if you fancy a truly fun filled day.

Just back from a great week with our family at Garrique Cottage. Kids loved it, and the tennis court was big bonus for them. Very peaceful and great base for exploring. Really enjoyed the "time capsule" water park in Coatbridge, well worth a visit. Very friendly and helpful owners. Will be back again.

The views from `Garrique Cottage were breath taking, and it is in a central spot to visit many places of interest. The cottage is very comfortable and the owner is very friendly and made sure that we were happy and had everything we needed. I really could not fault anything, and I would highly recommend Garrique Cottage for the more mature as well younger people and children as there is so much on the doorstep. Having stayed in many different cottages and apartments this cottage tops the bill.

Nous avons passé une semaine fantastique dans ce cottage coconing. Le paysage qui l'entoure est splendide. surtout sous la neige. Il y a plein de sentiers de randonnée a partir du cottage, Un vrai regal! Le cottage est grand, 3 chambres, 2 salles de bains, 2 salons. Tout est prevu et rien ne manque. Il est plein de charme surtout avec son poil a bois. Nous comptons revenenir des que possible😉. Les proprietaires sont des gens charmants et d'une gentillesse incroyable. Nous avons passé un sejour inoubliable. Merci a Fiona et son Mari.
