Upstairs is a small but comfortable sitting room with a large window looking over the valley. Visiting Clerk’s Bank & Exploring Staffordshire

The Wolery is on the outskirts of a small but lively village that has three good pubs, an amazing butcher and a well-stocked shop. There are many great walks from the village that can take you for miles. These walks include through woodland, along canals paths, over moorlands and through beautiful farmland. Locally there are many super and very popular cafes and eating places that are well worth a visit and are often within hiking distance or an easy drive to.

Places to visit include Leek, which is a super little market town with independent shops and cafes. Leek also has a Totally Locally Market which showcases all the local artisans that we are fortunate to have in the area. The Peak District, Dovedale, Chatsworth, Haddon Hall, Biddulph Grange, Alton Towers and RSPB Coombes Valley and many other visitor’s attractions are all within a 45 minutes drive, give or take. Not to mention the Churnet Valley Railway and the industrial heritage sites in the area, oh and the Avro Museum, brilliant!
