West Chinnock, Somerset
Yeoman Cottage built of local stone and with original beamed ceilings is quietly situated in the one acre garden of a 17th century village farmhouse. It provides self-catering accommodation for two people in the lovely setting of this quiet village on the border of south Somerset and Dorset. Both north and south coasts of the south west peninsular are within easy reach, offering the resorts of Minehead, West Bay and Lyme Regis.
The accommodation provides entrance hall, sitting room, fully equipped kitchen with washing machine, double bedroom, up only five steps, and adjoining bathroom, all south facing and enjoying sun all day. All linen is included as is electricity for cooking and heating. There are no extra charges.
The sitting room has a cool decor showing off Arts & Crafts English walnut furniture complimented with William Morris design linen fabric. There is flat-screen tv and DVD, books, pictures, jigsaws, cards and games. Through patio doors there’s garden furniture for outside dining.
Guests are free to enjoy the large garden with summer house, trees, shrubs and borders, kitchen garden and wild-life pond.
There are five National Trust houses and gardens, all less than a half hour drive away. The village pub serving local beer and food is only a five minute walk. Also a pleasant drive away are the lovely cathedral and abbey towns of Sherborne, Salisbury and Wells.
Rates: From £315 - £415 per week depending on season.
Maximum of 2 adults. A single bed or a cot can be provided for a child.
