Lower Hill Farm is a family-run business tucked among the woods at the base of Wenlock Edge, set within 230 acres of Shropshire’s beautiful and unspoilt countryside.

Sleeping four, the Shepherd’s Hut features a double bed and bunk beds suitable for small children, with bedding available to hire. The hut is equipped with electric heating, lighting, sockets and a kettle for convenience, while the toilet and shower block, along with a washing-up station, are just a short walk away. Outside the Shepherd’s Hut, guests can enjoy a picnic table, a fire pit with a cooking griddle and additional tables and chairs for outdoor dining and relaxation.

This is a secluded, off-grid cabin located a third of a mile from the main site, with its own wood-fired hot tub and poolside breakfast bar. It features solar lighting, a USB point, gas-heated hot water, a gas hob and a solar-powered fridge for easy self-catering. Outside, there’s a fire pit, picnic bench and small gas BBQ for relaxing by the pool, while inside, a real log burner, comfy chairs and a made-up bed await. Gas, bottled drinking water, logs and a pre-heated hot tub are all included for a comfortable stay.

These are beautiful, wooden-clad structures that sleep four and offer a unique blend of individuality, privacy and luxury. Unlike traditional yurts, they feature a fully equipped kitchen with a gas hob, fridge and their own cloakroom facilities. A full-height window provides stunning views over the Shropshire plain toward the Welsh border, while a rustic pine bed and log burner create a cosy atmosphere, perfect for a romantic getaway or a peaceful retreat. An optional wood-fired hot tub is available for £40 on the first night, with details for additional nights available.

Ape Dale View, true to its name, offers breathtaking views and is the perfect couples' retreat, with the option of adding a wood-fired hot tub for an extra touch of romance. Inside, a cosy log burner enhances the intimate atmosphere, while the modern kitchen, complete with a sink, fridge, electric hob and all necessary cooking and dining equipment. The cloakroom provides hot water and a composting toilet and an electric heater is available if needed. Outside, a dedicated fire pit, picnic table, bench and a veranda offer plenty of space to relax, whether you're admiring the dark starry skies or seeking shade on sunny days.

These lodges each feature an exclusive wood-fired hot tub, which is lit and pre-heated ready for your arrival. The lodges come fully equipped with all bedding, a cloakroom with a flush toilet and hand basin with hot running water and all necessary cooking and dining equipment, including a fridge and table and chairs. Inside, you'll find a real log burner, free Wi-Fi, a television and a welcome pack to make your stay even more comfortable.

The Rotunda, with its four panoramic windows overlooking Ape Dale, is perfect for larger or extended families and groups of friends, offering a comfortable stay with the added luxury of a wood-fired hot tub. Inside, it features an internal cloakroom with a flushing toilet and hot water hand basin, two bedrooms with space to sleep seven (one double bed and a family room) and bedding for all guests provided. The fully equipped kitchen includes a fridge, hob, and all necessary cooking and dining equipment. The living area offers a TV, real log burner, comfortable settees (including one bed settee) and a table and chairs, with additional electric heating available in the bedrooms. Outside, the hot tub is complemented by a covered seating and BBQ area, perfect for relaxing. Guests are asked to keep noise levels down in the evenings due to the proximity of other glamping units and the shower block is just a short walk away, accessible via designated paths.

Lower Hill Campsite offers three cosy shacks, each with the option to hire a wood-burning hot tub. Each shack sleeps four, with a double bed and 2’6” bunk beds, all fitted with bed guards for safety. Inside, the shacks are equipped with electric heating, lighting, sockets and an electric kettle, while outside there is a fire pit with a cooking griddle, a picnic table and additional seating. The wood-fired hot tubs are lit and pre-heated for your arrival and extra logs can be purchased from the onsite Honesty Shop.

No music to be played after 10pm. Quiet time from 11pm - 7am.

On the main site, a woodfired pizza oven is set in its own hut, with pizzas available to purchase. The Honesty shop is well stocked with breakfast and BBQ items, free range eggs and a variety of other essentials. There are also free showers and a hot water washing-up area.

Our farm is in an ideal area for enjoying the surrounding area. Lots of cycle and walking routes are in the area, from leisurely to more strenuous ones. The famous shopping centre at Telford is nearby and Ironbridge Gorge is a 10-minute drive away. You can visit Attingham Park and Dudmaston Hall or take a scenic trip on the Severn Valley Railway. Attractions to visit include:

Mousefield Nature Reserve.
Shrewsbury Castle.
