Halford Big Barn: Sleeps 16 peopleThis superb barn conversion is one of those uniquely rare properties that can accommodate the larger of family parties in true comfort and style! Its spacious lounges, generous en suite bedrooms and wealth of extra facilities will delight guests. The property retains many character beams, with fine joinery and decor. There are separate stairs to 2 'wings', so plenty of room to spread out. The accommodation comprises of:
Large beamed lounge & second lounge.
Entrance hall & sitting area.
Large farmhouse dining kitchen.
Double with en suite bathroom.
Double with an additional single bed & en suite bathroom.
Two double bedrooms on the first floor.
First-floor family bathroom.
The second set of stairs takes you to a separate first-floor wing. Here you will find 2 double rooms, 1 with additional single bed & en suite bathroom. The first floor wings are not interconnecting.
The Coach House : Sleeps 18 peopleThis spacious and comfortable property, part of which was an original Coach House dating from 1780, has been carefully restored and refurbished to provide excellent accommodation providing a superb base for an extended family or groups of friends to sample the delights of Shropshire and the Welsh Borders. The accommodation comprises of:
Lounge with woodburning stove.
Farmhouse style dining kitchen with breakfast area.
Second lounge with open fire, piano & French doors to garden.
All beds are made up ready for your arrival and consist of:
Single bedroom with en suite shower room.
2 first floor twin rooms (1 with a shower room with basin).
2 first floor double rooms.
First-floor family bathroom as well as a separate toilet.
3 second floor twin rooms (1 with 4ft bed).
2 second floor double rooms.
Second-floor shower room.
Visiting Craven Arms & Exploring ShropshireThese houses are an ideal base for a year-round holiday, with fine walks to Stokesay Castle, a short drive to Wenlock Edge and Long Mynd, and about half an hour from Ironbridge museums. Offa's Dyke and Clun are nearby.
The village of Craven Arms has some charming and historic houses, including a roundhouse, thought to be a recognisable rest house for pilgrim's travelling between Wigmore and Shrewsbury Abbeys. Knighton, Bishops Castle, medieval Ludlow, home to nearly 500 listed buildings are within easy reach. There is half a mile of coarse fishing within walking distance. Shops, pubs and restaurants ¾ mile.
