Pine Tree Lodge at Oldbury in Shropshire are a pair of comfortable and homely cottages, perfect for couples, friends and families. Each lodge is self-contained and is a great base for those who want a relaxing break away. Bridgnorth is just a short drive away and numerous attractions and places of interest are within comfortable driving distance.

Cyclists and walkers are welcome at the cottages. There is dry storage available and bike hire available locally.

Pine Tree Lodge 1

A former garage and workshop, this homely cottage is the larger of our 2 holiday homes and offers comfortable accommodation that is perfect for couples and families. You will enter through a stable door to a hallway then down into a cottage style fitted kitchen with a dining area. Step down again through an archway into the comfy lounge which has double doors out on to the rear paved terrace which is a sun trap throughout the day. Cottage amenities and features include:

Complimentary bottle of wine upon arrival.
Well-equipped kitchen with dining area.
Master bedroom with double bed.
Sofa bed and cot available on request.
Bed linen and towels.
Bathroom with shower over the bath.
Cosy lounge with Freeview TV, radio, CD player and Wi-Fi internet access.

On the grounds of the cottage are some friendly horses and dogs. Guests are welcome to bring their own dogs and horses by arrangement. Stabling or paddocks available for horse accommodation (additional charge) and some nice hacks are available from the door or within a short drive away.

Pine Tree Lodge 2

Just like Pine Tree Lodge 1, this is a former garage and workshop that has been tastefully refurbished throughout. The interior has been finished to a high standard and combines a blend of old and new, giving it a cosy feel throughout. No 2 is ideal for couples wanting a relaxing break away from it all. A travel cot can also be provided for a baby or toddler. Amenities and features include:

Free complimentary bottle of wine, milk, tea and coffee upon arrival.
Patio area with evening sun with seating and a table.
Well-equipped fitted kitchen with dining area.
Master bedroom with double bed.
Good quality bed linen and towels.
Travel cot available on request.

Visiting Oldbury & Exploring Shorpshire

Bridgnorth has an abundance of attractions, places to go and things to do, including its own theatre and cinema. There is also a vast array of pubs, cafes and restaurants all within walking distance from the Lodge. For more information visit About Bridgnorth. There are many historical buildings in and around Bridgnorth, Bishop Percy’s House being one of the more notable, but also there is the ruined castle, the Northgate with its Museum, The Town Hall, St. Leonards and St Marys churches, to name a few.

We are within easy reach of the World Heritage site of Ironbridge, the birthplace of the industrial revolution, with over a dozen museums, is just 9 miles away.

Other places of interest include:
Royal Air Force Museum in Cosford.
Much Wenlock market town.
Theatre on the Steps,
Old Vicarage Outward Bound Centre in Stottesdon for pony trekking, climbing walls, zip wires and paintball etc.
