The Old ShipponThe Old Shippon is our largest holiday cottage and sleeps 8 (10 with the additional sofa bed in the upstairs living room). It has 4 bedrooms (2 doubles & 2 twins), 2 bathrooms, a large kitchen/diner and a spacious living room with an upstairs mezzanine quiet area. The cottage is very well laid out for two families who want to stay in the same cottage but also wish to have a bit of space to themselves. Two bedrooms and a bathroom are on one side of the cottage and two bedrooms and a shower room are on the other side. Underfloor heating and Wi-Fi broadband throughout. The cottage has gorgeous views, exposed beams and lots of space both inside & out.
The kitchen diner is fitted with electric oven & hob, microwave, 50/50 fridge freezer, dishwasher, washing machine, kettle, toaster and ample cupboard space, crockery and pots & pans. The cottage is mainly on one level. All the bedrooms and bathroom are on the ground floor. There are three steps down into the spacious living room and then stairs up to the mezzanine living area. The garden and patio area are accessed by the living room and offer the best view in Sambrook. I is the ideal place to relax and enjoy the evening sun or for the children to run around and let off a bit of steam.
Churn CottageChurn Cottage is a delightful cottage which sleeps 4 in two bedrooms (one double & one twin). A wet room bathroom, living room and kitchen/diner are available. It is suitable for assisted wheelchair users. The fitted kitchen is well equipped with 50/50 fridge freezer, built in electric oven and built in microwave, electric hob, dishwasher, kettle, toaster, washer/dryer and ample cupboard space. The dining area is at one end of the kitchen. This kitchen has lots of natural daylight.
The wet room bathroom has a fantastic large walk in shower area and a big shower head for a real luxurious feel. The under floor heating and heated towel radiator give the room a lovely warm feel with no stepping out on to cold tiles. The bathroom also has a large wall hung wash basin, modern non slip tiles and grab grails where needed The spacious living room looks out over the beautiful views of grassy fields, rivers & trees and is great place to relax and do a bit of nature spotting. It also leads out onto the garden and patio area which has table, chairs, sun umbrella and charcoal BBQ. This side of the cottage catches the evening sun and is a great place to unwind. Both bedrooms have high ceilings with wonderful exposed beams, under floor heating and gorgeous views to wake up to.
The StablesOur two bedroom barn conversion is on the other side of the courtyard and sleeps up top 7 people. On the ground floor there is a double room with exposed beams and an en suite room. The wet room has underfloor heating and a large walk in shower, WC, sink, grab rails, and a large wall hung basin. On the ground there is also a fully fitted kitchen with a fridge/freezer, electric oven & hob, a full sized dishwasher, microwave and washer/dryer.
Upstairs there is a lovely living room with double doors which lead to the living room. Doors open to a patio area with garden furniture and a charcoal BBQ. The first floor also has a living room and a large triple bedroom with a double and single bed, family bathroom and double en suite room. The property is suitable for wheel chairs users.
The Cart ShedThe Cart Shed sleeps 5 in 2 en suite bedrooms, one has a double & single bed and the other a king bed. The Cart shed has the bedrooms on the ground floor and an open plan living, kitchen & dining room upstairs. Under floor heating both up and downstairs, original beams and modern design.
Visiting Sambrook & Exploring ShropshireThere are many activities to entertain guests of all ages in Shropshire, many of which are within easy reach of the cottages. You can enjoy, fishing, horse riding and golf as well as countryside walks and cycle rides which can be enjoyed from the door step. Sambrook its self is lovely village to have a stroll around, if you go down to the old mill the ducks & swans on the mill pool love being thrown a bit of bread.
The Three Horse shoes public house is within walking distance of the cottage and serves real ales and delicious home cooked food all at very reasonable prices.
