Amblewood Cottage and Woodpeckers are both cosy self catering holiday homes in the village of Grinshill near Shrewsbury. The holiday cottages are next door to each other and have outstanding views of the North Shropshire countryside. Both holiday cottages are ideally located for guests who want to explore North Wales, Ironbridge, Ludlow, Chester and the many historic towns and castles throughout Shropshire.

Amblewood Cottage

This self catering holiday cottage is all on one level making it ideal for people with limited mobility. The living room has two comfortable sofas (one of which is a bed settee), a flat screen TV and a DVD player. There are two bedrooms, both of which are fully carpeted and can sleep 2 people. The first bedroom has a king size bed and the second room has two single beds.

Outside the holiday cottage is a paved patio with a wooden bench and lovely views of the hills.

Woodpeckers

Situated next door to Amblewood Cottage, Woodpeckers can sleep up to 4 people and is a cosy and well-furnished holiday home. It is set over two floors and has a private grassland area where children can play.

Local Area

Grinshill, where the holiday cottages are located, is a small picturesque village noted for its attractive sandstone buildings and it lies directly under the hill which rises to 630 feet above sea level. From the summit there are breathtaking views over the Shropshire plain to the Wrekin, the Clee Hills, the Stretton Hills, Stiperstones and even over to the Berwyns in North Wales. Within Grinshill village there is a church and a restaurant/public house providing meals to suit all tastes.
