Tumbling Banks is a self-catering holiday cottage for up to four people, created from the conversion of a former grain store within a traditional steading. Set in a rural location, it offers a peaceful retreat with access to a heated outdoor swimming pool (available May until September), while a tennis court is also available by prior arrangement with the owners.

The accommodation is arranged over two levels. Downstairs, there is a comfortable living area with a kitchen and dining space, equipped with a fridge, dishwasher, microwave and television with Freeview, along with comfortable seating. This level also includes a bathroom with a bath, shower and heated towel rails, as well as a bedroom that sleeps two people. Upstairs, the loft bedroom accommodates a further two guests and includes a toilet and Velux windows. Access to the loft is via a well-lit external staircase and guests should note that headroom is limited due to the sloping roof.

The cottage is double glazed throughout and heated with electric heaters, ensuring a warm and comfortable stay. Free high-speed Wi-Fi is available and bed linen is provided, although guests are asked to bring their own towels.

A large French window opens onto a patio area overlooking fields and a small garden, offering a perfect spot for relaxing, enjoying barbecues and listening to birdsong. There is plenty of parking available.

The farm is home to two horses, Joey and Bear and coarse fishing for Perch and Pike can be arranged on the farm’s waters.

Colvend in Dumfries and Galloway is ideally placed for exploring a beautiful stretch of Scotland’s southwest coast, with plenty to see and do nearby. Just a short distance away, Rockcliffe Beach offers sandy shores, woodland walks and stunning views across the Solway Firth, while the nearby sailing village of Kippford is perfect for waterside strolls, sailing and enjoying local food. For walkers, Balcary Bay and the surrounding coastal paths provide spectacular scenery and wildlife spotting opportunities. History lovers can visit Orchardton Tower, a unique circular medieval tower, while cyclists can take advantage of the nearby 7stanes mountain biking trails for world-class biking routes through forests and hills.
