Renovated to a high standard with guest comfort in mind, the cottage enjoys lovely sea and harbour views from the front and looks towards the iconic Rhinns of Islay Lighthouse.

Inside, there is plenty of space to unwind, with two separate lounge areas downstairs offering different places to relax. One provides a cosy setting with a sofa, armchair, fireplace, books, magazines and a stereo system, while the other features a large corner sofa, television and a selection of board games. The kitchen is bright and spacious, fully equipped with a Nespresso machine, microwave, two ovens and all the essentials needed for a comfortable stay. A large reclaimed wood dining table creates a welcoming focal point where everyone can gather together.

Upstairs, three generously sized bedrooms, two king rooms and one twin, are designed to feel warm and restful, helping ensure a great night’s sleep. Each bedroom benefits from its own generous en-suite bathroom, with two offering walk-in showers and one featuring a luxurious Japanese-style soaking tub large enough for two.

The outdoor spaces are just as inviting. From the top of the back garden, you can enjoy sunset views over the Atlantic, while the front of the property is the perfect place to sit with a cup of tea or a dram and watch village life unfold.

Portnahaven is a picturesque fishing village on Islay’s south-western tip, where boats still land their catch and seals often bask on the rocks. The friendly local community adds to the charm, with residents happy to share stories of the village’s past and its historic trading links with Ireland. Just outside the village you’ll find the dramatic cliffs and sea views around Rhinns of Islay Lighthouse, a fantastic place for coastal walks and wildlife watching. Whisky lovers can visit nearby distilleries such as Bruichladdich Distillery and Kilchoman Distillery, while history enthusiasts can explore ancient sites including Finlaggan, once the seat of the Lords of the Isles.
