Green Man Cottage is a single storey barn conversion situated in the pretty Vale of Belvoir in Nottinghamshire. The self catering property is situated in the grounds of our own listed cottage just two miles from Belvoir Castle in the village of Redmile.
The accommodation features two bedrooms, one double and one twin, along with a bright open-plan living and dining area complete with a log-burning stove and electric heating throughout, with electricity included in the price. The fully fitted kitchen is well equipped with an electric oven and hob, fridge, freezer, microwave, dishwasher and washing machine, making it ideal for a self-catering stay. A spacious shower room includes a handrail in the cubicle for added convenience and guests are provided with dressing gowns and a hairdryer.
Outside, there is a private garden with a patio, table and chairs, perfect for relaxing, as well as off-road parking for two vehicles, with secure garaging available for motorcycles on request and storage for bicycles.
All linen, towels, and bathrobes are included free of charge, along with a breakfast welcome pack for your first morning, often featuring free-range eggs from the neighbouring chickens. Complimentary WiFi is also available for guests.
Redmile is well placed for exploring a mix of countryside, history and charming market towns. Just a short distance away, Belvoir Castle is a must-visit, offering grand architecture, beautiful gardens and stunning views over the Vale of Belvoir. The surrounding countryside is perfect for walking and cycling, with scenic routes along the Grantham Canal providing peaceful waterside trails. Nearby market towns such as Bingham and Melton Mowbray offer independent shops, cafés and traditional markets, with Melton Mowbray famously known for its pork pies. For a day out with more variety, the historic city of Nottingham is within easy reach, home to cultural attractions, shopping and strong links to the legend of Robin Hood.
