The Green offers wonderful self catering accommodation in the conservation village of Market Overton. Our cottage in Rutland is just a stone’s throw away from the Rutland Water and the perfect base for exploring lots of walking and cycling routes.
AccommodationOur grade II Listed stone-built property is bustling with character whilst offering modern country-style accommodation. The cottage sleeps up to 5 people in total.
You can relax and socialise in the two seating areas. The sitting room has a flat-screen TV, DVD player and iPod docking station and the snug has lots of books and games. A well-equipped kitchen comes with a fridge, freezer, dishwasher, electric oven and gas hob. The dining area is in the magnificent light-filled conservatory. A lovely spot for a morning coffee whilst the sun is shining. We provide a lovely welcome pack and kitchen essentials.
Three bedrooms are available: a king, twin and double room. Upstairs there is a bathroom and downstairs there is a cloakroom/utility room with a WC.
Outside there is a delightful garden and a lawn with flowerbeds. A secure stone outhouse is available for bicycles, fishing rods and outdoor accessories.
Visiting Market Overton & Exploring RutlandThe pretty village of Market Overton has lots of scenic walks to enjoy. Only 5 minutes away is The Black Bull pub which serves great food and there’s also a well-stocked shop nearby which sells a range of essentials. A country cafe is also just a 5-minute walk away. Lots of gorgeous villages can be discovered in Rutland. Exton, Braunston, Empingham and Ryhall have lots of beautiful walks and the town of Oakham has a range of interesting shops. Fantastic attractions to visit include:
