AccommodationThis traditional stone built two storey building enjoys views over Loch Ewe and the Minch. Built in 1881, the house is a beautiful old house with a lot of history, it is comfortable and well maintained. The house has a Kitchen, Breakfast room, Sitting room and a Twin bedroom downstairs. Upstairs there is a twin bedroom, a bathroom a with sink and toilet and a double bedroom with en suite facilities. There is space to park off the road. There is space at the rear of the House for canoes/kayaks or a boat and trailer.
Visiting Drumchork & Exploring Ross-ShireAultbea itself is a small crofting and fishing village. The village is sheltered by the Isle of Ewe and surrounded by great wilderness and mountains. The village has a shop, hotel and there are a number of gift shops. Lots of cafes are nearby, such as the Perfume Studio and the Isle of Ewe Smokehouse.
Along the coast there are many beautiful beaches such as Firemore, Gruinard, Mellon Udrigle and Big Sand. These beaches are great for walks, relaxing, exploring rock pools and even snorkelling (we have 5 of the north west snorkel trail's 9 sites within easy drive). The beaches and coast are great for bird watching; we even have White Tailed Sea Eagles in the area. 3 minutesí walk from Drumchork there is a stoney shore where shore birds can be seen.
