Innerwick Estate offers self catering accommodation situated in Glenlyon near Aberfeldy in Perthshire. It is a working farm that is set in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
The glen is of particular interest to walkers with low level river walks, many hill tracks and high level hill walks including Perthshire’s highest peak, Ben Lawers within a few miles of Innerwick Estate.
AccommodationBallinloan Cottage - Ballinloan Cottage is an attractive white traditional stone built single storey cottage with more recent kitchen/bathroom extension at rear. This holiday cottage is popular for its immediate access to the hillside and its cosy traditional feel. It has a sitting/dining room with open log fire. One king size double bedded and one twin bedded room, bathroom, shower room and kitchen with door opening to the garden. The small garden is enclosed suitable for dogs and has a burn running through it.
Innerwick Farm House - The Farm House is just off the main glen road on a track that leads to Innerwick Farm and is beside Glenlyon Church. There is a sitting room with open log fire, dining room, kitchen with breakfast table, cloakroom with shower, and a separate drying room downstairs; while upstairs there is a double bedroom with en suite bathroom, two twin bedrooms and bathroom.
Local AreaGlenlyon is within a National Scenic Area in Highland Perthshire. It is Scotland’s longest and one of its loveliest glens, with a variety of landscapes from deep river gorges and rock pools to gentle farmland and dramatic mountain peaks.
Sporting activities include fishing on the River Lyon and Loch Tay for brown trout and salmon (during season) and stalking and hind shooting by arrangement. Glenlyon is renowned for its challenging stalking. The Innerwick stalking ground is mostly heather with grass areas and peat bogs and offers testing stalking over a variety of terrain which is steep in places, a reasonable level of fitness is recommended.
