Lockinge, Wantage, Oxfordshire
Andersey Farm specialises in the rearing of pedigree sheep and can be found at Lockinge in Oxfordshire. As well as being a working farm, we also have three self catering holiday homes and our own unique ‘pet hotel’ available. We are just a short drive from the historic market town of Wantage, which is at the edge of the North Wessex Downs – a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
About Andersey FarmFor many years our rural farm has been rearing pedigree sheep which provide the highest of quality meet and fleeces. Our ‘Southdowns’ are the oldest terminal sires in the UK and descend from the native sheep which have roamed the South Downs for hundreds of years. These fleecy residents are very relaxing to watch and we find children who stay enjoy seeing the sheep in the fields.
When staying at Andersey Farm, you have a choice of three different holiday homes available. They have all been converted from barns and have been finished to the highest of standards. These stylish barns have luxurious interiors and are well appointed.
The open plan living areas are perfect for entertaining and the large bi-fold doors allow for additional space, with a feeling of bringing the outside in. Underfloor heating and the addition of a log burner create a cosy atmosphere.
Each bedroom has its own beautifully finished modern bathroom and a utility space and additional WC is available off the hallway. The furniture, fixtures and fittings are all high specification and the barns have been beautifully decorated.
We have the following barns available:
The barns have their own outside area and also an atrium off one of the bedrooms and the kitchen area.
